Now why can't EA implement such a system for all of their published/developed games?
GameInformer reports top ranking Global Event players receive hefty rewards in the form of in-game credits – provided they’ve activated an online pass.
But those who pick the game up second hand and therefore don’t automatically receive an Online Pass code can still participate in Global Events, and should they qualify for any rewards, these will be stored against their user account.
So without the online pass, your winnings won't be as great as it would be if you have one.
Sounds a little similar to Skate 3, where if you race online against others, your earnings are more, but if you verse the CPU, it's not as much.
I was planning on purchasing the game brand new anyway, but those who opt to rent, use services similar to GameFly or prefer to trade amongst friends, you aren't missing out on any online play.
