cant kill him no mater what i try his Regen negates all my damage and his attacks at some point 1 hit ko my whole party making me very pissed

I've went out of my way and actually leveled for about an hour that only made my party last longer but the result is the same he is at full hp when he 1 hit kos my whole party
wtf do I really need to level 3 medics with res and or other roles I do not yet have to win this?

I defeated him on my 1st try without a problem. I just used Com Rav Rav & Def Med Med.

What's you stats anyway? When I fought him I grinded quite a lot and Noel and Serah's HP were higher than 1k.

my party was level 15
I tried him around 20 times with no luck getting to ~20% and then loosing
after that decided - screw it this is a waste of time. went on item/monster/fragment hunting for a while
came back at level 30-40 owned him 1st try with 5 stars with 3xrav combo didnt even have to heal at all

RAV/SAB/SEN = EASY!

Caius will concentrate his attacks on the SEN and once the SAB's poison lands, it's all too easy. His regen is laughable against poison..

? You start the game with RAVs and SENs, surely you caught a monster with the SAB role by now..

nope, and even if he had it wouldnt have poison, if your not grinding best bet is to level up SAB with Serah, MED with Noel & Pulse Night as sentinel [you can get it on the very 1st level once u learn to capture them]

For other monsters early on use Cait Sith{MED} [still using at end game] Behemoth{COM} [still using at end game] & Gremlin{RAV} you can get them all in the first 2 or 3 levels and will be useful for most of the game [until you have loads of items/gil to level up other monsters to see whats good]

Whatevers.. When I got to Caius I had a level 26 SAB, turned around and fought 3 more random battles and leveled the SAB to 28 which unlocked poison. Like I said, poison makes Caius' Regen worthless and it's a quick and easy way to 5 star the boss fight.

lol, just saying if he never levelled SAB then he wont have a monster to poison him with no need to be so defensive, anyway i COM/RAV/RAV and still 5* so each to there own i suppose

I don't know what to do to kill this guy. Caius gets down to 50% life then beats the heck out of me and heals himself then it's back to the beginning only without my potions and downs so I quit. I do not have any crystarium points to put into anything nor do I have a Sabetuer unlocked. I can go grind but really to grind enough for a Sab at a level for poison seems obscene. I cannot kill this jerk. Do I need better items or something this is balls.

If thats the ONLY levels you have for your party then grinding Saboteur will be easy. Not to seem a dick, but i feel people have forgotten what to do in RPG games. My suggestion as you have already put it, go level some more :)

Are people just charging ahead with the story? When I reached this point, I 5*ed that fight with 1/5 of Target Time used. I thought this fight was relatively easy, only needing to heal once. I did have a high level Munchkin, That thing is a fucking beast!

Yeah i believe some people do just try to rush through. Doesn't always work in a RPG though. ;) I still have yet to leave the starting area and am at level 20 with roughly 3400 cp to spend on leveling. I tend to be overly cautious lol. :p

Have a sabatour, using despell takes otu all his buffs, after go straight triple ravage while switching to commando every while to keep the chain going if hes going to do a heavy attack worked for me at least

Won this fight in a matter of seconds with SAB SYN MED (fully buff/debuff) > RAV RAV MED (Stagger) > COM COM MED (PWN!)

I use Cait Sith as a MED constantly, which seems to be working well.
