Level 44

Just got my windows phone today, tried a couple free stuff which this leads me to this game.

I'm at level 44 (touch mode), for the life in me, i can't seem to progress further. It's at the bend right after collecting the first sunshine orb where there's this set of arrow boosters that would push you to the bottom with thorns(?) I tried different strategies but to no avail. How should i go about this conundrum?
