Now, that's out of the way, I thought I'd make this to TRY and keep the discussion to one thread, instead of spreading it out all over the place.

So far, so good. Unlocked an achievement without even trying (Storm the Yarn). Having a good laugh at the content, especially rolling around the city as a giant ball of yarn.

Can't wait to play it. Just waiting for it to be available for the season pass. As is always the case with season passes... Every game that has one seems to make you wait 3+ hours after it hits the marketplace before you can download in the game. But oh well it should hopefully be worth the wait :)

If you read the description, it says that it will allow you to play co-op with those who have the purchased DLC. It also makes mention of season pass holders to not download, so that right there says it will work vice versa.

It's the same files are the paid-for content. Only difference is, the free add-on has the island locked out.

3 activities 2 instances each, also screw this sky panda bs lol. Whoa this last event sky panda is so poorly though out, that it so easy to screw you're self out of finish the event or doing the achievements.

Yeah that was a pain, I am guessing you are talking about the killing all the mascots, finally managed to do it...you can just ignore the rings if you're going for this and go for the highest buildings first, be quick and kill everyone and also you need to make sure you don't walk into the stars first. I am not sure you can go back to the same building if you get shot out of the cannon?

The Achievements are way to easy... i got them all it just dosent show up due to my privacy settings the only difficult one was throwing mascots in the water which i had to start a new save for as my level 5 throws too far

Normal Pedestrians and gang members(saints at least) just keep driving around building flame fuel then burning large groups as theres no time limit. the achievement will pop up during the activity once you have acomplished it

Make Good Use of the balloons (both ethical and un-ethical) as they will help you get back onto the roofs to kill mascots the rings dont really matter because when you clear the roofs you make an extremely large amount of money anyway

Yeah you burn 50 pedestrians with the flamethrowers on the car.

As for tips on skyblazing I found it a lot easier to focus on the achievements individually.

I think you can't beat the activity simply by going through all the rings and landing in the target marker and that you actually have to kill some mascots as well.

I did one run just going through the rings. Hold the :ls: forward to go through the rings, occasionally letting go and pulling back on the :ls: to prevent yourself from going over the top of some rings. You'll get the hang of it after a while.

Killing mascots is what annoyed me the most. Your best bet is to try and start on the taller buildings, killing everyone on it and then moving onto shorter ones. Don't hesitate to use the panda hot-air balloons to launch yourself up into the air making it easier to reach rooftops. You only lose $100 by doing so.

Patience is the key really.

I did these on the easy (first) SPS activity. I remember there being around 5 rooftops to clear. Not sure if there are more than 5 to clear on the medium (second) SPS activity.

DON'T pick up Genki, that way you can't fail the activity. Just make sure you stay a decent distance away so he can't get in.
Pay attention to the four red lights on the back of your car. Run over pedestrians to turn the lights green. Once all four are green you unlock the flame thrower for a limited time. Keep driving around until you get it then pick up Genki.

Lol i didnt even think of leaving him behind... i just kept driving laps of the block just before the finish respawning peds and burning them until i got the achievement

Good tip, but really boring. No wonder why some are complaining that the DLC is too short or the achievements are far too easy.

You can run towards water with them (you can use the sprint/awesome button to go faster) and the shark will still pop out in most cases when they touch, eating them with the "Water Bear" message popping up. After 5 of these the achievement popped, I never managed a proper throw myself and the shark didn't eat me.

Well, destroy the ATV which looks like a mouse. I got it without even realising I ran over one. Just run over every vehicle you can, it will unlock eventually.

No. The viewer pack is identical to Genkibowl VII, just without the bonus activities, costumes and vehicles.

You have to destroy the white ATV that spawns once during the event.
It's really fast so you can use a dash move (click LS) to get it.

on the second apocalypse genki there is some better spots for water throwing on the right side. toss them into the water and "Shark Bait" will appear.

for the achievement where you have to throw five mascots to the shark on the very first activity you should get this. when you open the door one mascot will be running at you and BAM the shark gets him. Well just run by him and grab other mascots, humanshield and run them back to the original entrance and when you walk in the water BAM, the shark gets 'em. Rinse and repeat 5x.

OT: I'm sorry but this DLC is BS, 4 activities with little to no storyline, few cutscenes, and relatively easy achievements. This felt like another portion that could've been cut from the game for the money grab later. I thought SR2 DLC was bad, this DLC made that shit look great.

This has to be one of the laziest dlcs i have played.

Well that was quick and easy. I'm glad I bought the Season Pass because this wasn't worth the money for the DLC alone. I beat all of the activities in my first shot with the exception of the Sad Panda one, which I had to do five times to get all three achievements in it.

For those looking for some advice for how to get Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, here's what I did. Go through the first few rings and then shoot left before going through the two buildings and land on the tallest roof. Let the mascots attack you and then chainsaw them. Some will run away. The rest will just dance. Get the runners first, and then murder the dancers. After completing the building, go to the nearest cannon and try to work your way from that tallest building to the next tallest. Take advantage of the balloons, especially the unethical balloons. It may take a few resets to get it done, but it's really not all that hard once you get the hang of flying. Hope that helps a few of you.

Just finished this. All pretty easy. Some of sad panda was a bit tricky, but wasn't too bad. Amazingly fun DLC. Loved every minute of it. Can't wait for the next!

The yarnball is a real POS. It can run cars over like they are nothing but then will get completely stuck on the smallest little obstruction on the sidewalk.

I thought that with yarn ball but I replayed it and found out you have that super bounce by pressing RT. didn't realise it in first round so whenever there was a load of cars and them genki billboards around me I used that and I got so much damage in so little time (and then also got the combo achievement without meaning to). Just a little tip if you did the same as me

I have downloaded both the free viewer pack and the official genki bowl thing (I do own the season pass) and the missions are not showing up in my phone. When I load up the game it shows that I have the Cheapy D thing but not the genki bowl dlc. Also, I cant seem to find my viewer pack in my hard drive and the only thing there is a pack: the second. Not sure if that is genki bowl or not. I have tried redownloading and deleting the pack: the second, but no luck. Any help?

Edit: I got it. Seems I like to post for help sooner than I should. Advice would be try shooting for the Gat Mascots first in the first Activity. After the first initial 2. Go for the Panda's they give u more lift.

0:26 - Gangstas in Space to begin filming next month. Hopefully there is an update to accompany this in the game. Whether a certain area of the map is partially closed off or there is film crew as pedestrians.

1:01 - Johnny Gat rumours made it into the game, whether through an update or it was planned this way. However it was implemented, it adds fuel to the fire.

Very interesting. Volition can do some great things with news items like the two above.

One of the season pass DLCs has something to do with clones, so the Johnny Gat is alive bit on the news feed made me think ( more so than before ) that Johnny has been or will be cloned. Maybe the Johnny Gat the Saints held a funeral for was just a clone......

I got stuck numerous times. I guess THQ firing loads of people at Volition wasn't quite so wise an idea...

I'm not sure if you have to finish the game, but it's worth a try since the homie activated but the mission didn't.
