Hi, my girlfriend and I are looking at getting new phones, preferably some that are not too expensive. We live in Australia and I was just wondering what your guys opinion on Windows phones is or which are the good ones to get.
We are with Vodafone, here's the link to their website. I'm really not good with phones so I'm looking for any help :)

Thank you so much, really appreciate it.

Well unfortunately they don't have any Windows Phone at all... As a result I'd go with either the Galaxy S II (Probably the best non-WP phone on the market right now) or take a small step back to the Galaxy Nexus. The HTC Sensation is also a pretty descent phone but it's a tad bit smaller.

Telstra are leading with 4G mobiles 6 months earlier than planned so if you can wait a bit you could get 2Mb a second?
I'm going to sit on my plain old iPhone4 until Win8 phones come out...I've got nearly a terabyte of iStore games to keep me company until then :-/

Galaxy Nexus is a better phone then the Galaxy S II. I've used both for a good couple hours thanks to my job and out of the 2 the Nexus is better.
Only thing the S II has that's better is a better camera everything else the Galaxy Nexus triumphs.

Hmm decisions, also another question.. would you say that the Windows phones are dying? Just wondering with iPhones and Android phones being so popular now. All my friends are telling me to go with iPhone 4s, I do have a Mac and it would sync up nicely and all but would you say they are worth it?

I work for O2 in the UK.. I know this doesn't help you out alot but Windows 7 phones are still only new in the mobile phone market, but all the apps and games are beginning to come thick and fast.
At O2 the Nokia Lumia is out of stock every few days.. it's flying off the shelves, and only 3 months since it was launched, the Nokia Lumia 900 is coming, and it's an update on the 800.. which is an awesome phone already
So do give Windows 7 phones a chance, I actually have two phones, the HTC Mozart and an iPhone 4, and I'm getting really bored with Apple now. WP7 is the way forward, maybe not right now but in the next 18 months. Phones like HTC Titan II, Lumia 900, Samsung Focus etc are ones to look at.
But if you get a HTC Mozart on a good deal take it, it's a great all rounder, I'm still really happy with mine, fast and easy to use good size screen, fast processor etc..
I see it challenging both itunes and Android.. Although they have a good two to three year head start on WP7, so only time will tell
