Will both local players get achievements?

Do you know something we don't know? Have you seen the achievement list?!?

I'm always a little worried when a game I'm waiting for doesn't have the achievement list posted anywhere just a few weeks before release. I hope it isn't delayed!

i read that there was drop in drop out which can go either way for player 2 but usually means that they dont save like player 1 so only get achievements for chapters etc...which will be fine for me and her
no they didn't list the cheaves yet as of today...strange
i'm probably gonna wait till the first reviews anyway as i learned my lesson with hunted

Yup, it's co-op campaign. Story related achievements are shared, personnal achievements (finish moves, special actions,etc..) are not.

Me and my friend played coop and I hosted. We only played the game with each other and at no time did the game freeze or did he kicked, etc. Still he didn't get the achievements for beating the game at all or on coop. I got all the achievements for beating it on hard, normal, etc and coop.

We then let him host the game at the final boss and we beat it again and no achievement for him. Maybe we should have done it in one sitting. We checked and he has all the checkpoints and levels unlocked that I do.

i figured that it did'nt keep track if player 2 quit and returned

Story related achievements are shared, personnal achievements (finish moves, special actions,etc..) are not.
and an earlier post sez only host gets the completion chieves

If there is local coop I can't find it. Setting the game to local it says single player only. I think the advertising for the game is deceptive since what they mean by "Local" coop is actually system link; 2nd player on another console with their own copy of the game.

I can't even get in an XBL coop game since none of my friends have the game and there doesn't seem to be any way to search for random players to join with. I think the only way to do it will be to make a thread here to find coop partners. The online mode is completely dead so you can forget the online achievements unless you have a dedicated boosting partner.

i didn't get it in yet.....i'm gonna be pissed
