can you use someone elses account to get acheivements for this game?

as the title says - if i know someone who has a character maxed on pc, and i use their details to sign in on my 360 - will i get the achievements?

Sure, if you want to be banned from every Gamerscore community (including this one) and risk a Gamerscore reset. Do the work yourself or don't bother.

i did not say that i was planning on doing this, but thanks for jumping down my throat over a query - i thought this was a community, not a dictatorship.

i personally was just curious as to whether it was possible, because its more than likely people have taken advantage of this.

No ban threat was given, this is not a dictatorship and no one is jumping down your throat, Pants merely stated that if you did do it that's what would happen.

The fact that you spoke about yourself in your original post, "if I know someone who has a character maxed on pc, and I use their details to sign in on my 360" indicates you were interested in doin this yourself rather then just curiosity ;)

if i didnt convey my query correctly, its because i try to keep posts as simple as possible (as not everyone speaks english as a first language)

hence why i formed my query as 'if i'.... rather than 'if someone'... - it leaves less room for interpretation - but in this instance i think its been misinterpreted to mean i was going to attempt to do this.

the reply "Sure, if you want to be banned from every Gamerscore community (including this one)" - makes me hesitant to ask any similar questions in future for fear of further misinterpretation by an individual who may subsequently try and ban me, even though ive done nothing more than ask a question.

--thats it - end it there / close / delete thread, i have my answer, and this is going offtopic.

If you don't want my commentary on your question, stop at "Sure" - if you can link his PC account with your 360 account, I'm sure it can be done.

I didn't threaten you for asking the question, I was simply warning you ahead of time that doing what you were asking about would have negative effects on your standing in the Gamerscore community, as it should be painfully obvious that using someone else's work for your own gain is not kosher. And I seriously doubt you were asking theoretically...
