Cant find my place

I have never played a RTS before and like most games I find it frustrating in the beginning but eventually find my place and enjoy whipping some a$$.This game is different :confused:I just completly suck and find it not fun at all.Is there any hints,tips (other than dont suck:))of what should be built first to better my chance to enjoy this game? I always give games a chance but this game is hard and the controls are weird.Im about to say fu c&c ill stick with other genres.:(

A basic build order is:

crane>refinery>powerplant>refinery>barracks>powerplant>vehicle production then go from there.

A crane is udefull because you can build 2 things at once i.e twice as fast ;)

Don't forget to research upgrades at tech centres etc to make your units more powerful.
