How do handle going on vacation without your XBOX?

I just came back from the Bahamas ( family vacation ). I was just itching to play. I kept using the hotel computer to log on XBOX.COM and see who was playing what And checking the forums on this site.

I was actually surprised when I went. It was only 4 days, but I didn't miss it. My buddy actually drought his and I had my Harddrive with me incase I wanted to play, but I didn't touch it until the last night and it was only for a couple hours.

But yeah, when I go on holiday tomorrow, I will definetly be getting my Dad's laptop connected to the internet so I can still browse x360a! :D

Conncentrait more on the local sites, like the females ;) For me vacation is a way to do nothing that i normally do, believe me when i say i didnt miss my 360 when i was in South Beach for spring break. It was probably a 5-1 girl guy ratio, can you say putty fest :D

* legitimate reason You got that right... wife's grandmother isn't doing to well so she wants to go to Georgia to see her next week... my first thought/call/action... you got it... go to GameCrazy talk to my buddy the store manager, give him a FedEx slip to FedEx me my copy of Two Worlds. Then a quick call to call to the hotel down in Augusta to see what time of day they get their FedEx deliveries. All that's left to do is FedEx the spare 360 down to the hotel to make sure it's waiting there when I arrive. Never put your 360 through baggage people it's just wrong. You wouldn't check your kids in at baggage so don't do it to your 360s.

I FedEx my 360 anywhere I go... Wife thought it was foolish to take the 360 on our trip to Hawaii... she didn't think so after the Earthquake. Thank god we only lost power for a few hours.

Ok I will give you 3 days away. I played Friday morning before I left around 10 am. Didn't play rest of friday, non on Saturday and played 2 hrs Sunday night. I return home on Monday around 3 pm. So to completly honest, yes in 77 hours I was away I played 2 hrs. Now stop busting my balls.:p

When I went to Florida I just played Guitar Hero 2 for the PS2 in the hops when we went around malls/Wal-Marts.

I also bought a PS3 there (Considerably cheaper) So i had that to play with for a while.

Any vacation on which you are motivated to take your 360 is not a vacation worth taking. I've never had a problem taking a vacation from my 360 personally.

I've never brought my 360 along with me on a vacation. The only thing close to that was bringing my Premium over to my girlfriend's house. When I'm just chilling or relaxing in my hotel room, hopping on XBL isn't a bad idea. Other than that, I just browse the site with a laptop.

I like going on vacation because when I get back to my xbox I play non-stop tell I get like 500 more gamer points... (has you can see I don't go on vacation allot.... I hate my low gamer score :()

It has been 19 years since i've been on any type of vacation, but with the way our multimedia cravings have changed in the last 5 years, I could see how xbl is more than just a gaming experience.

I just leave my 360 (and Wii, for that matter) right where they are until I come back from my vacation. If I didn't, I probably wouldn't enjoy what the destination has to offer and just get holed up in some hotel room all day playing.

Then the vacation would just be a waste of money I could have spent on more games.

I've thought about bringing my 360 on vacation to Toronto last year, but it would have been a waste of time because the longest time I spent in the hotel room(not counting sleeping) was about 1 1/2 hours.

Now I don't bring it on vacation because:
1) Might ruin the vacation, I might spend all my time playing.
2) I don't want it to get stolen.

It depends: If I go to the shore, then I probably won't bring it. But it I go to Florida for a week or two, then I bring it because there's not a whole lot to do at night. I only play at night because I'll usually be going to do things during the day: Beaches, Hooters :p, Family stuff.

You are aware how much of an addict you should like when you are counting the hours between play sessions right? And somehow only playing a few HOURS in the morning or night don't count as having gamed that day?

i think for a couple minutes about how my streak on 360voice.com is ending and feel kinda crappy for a split second....then i crack open another beer and forget all about it.

However...i am pretty sure i always turn on the xbox before any other light/appliance in the house when i get back...even if its just work :p
