Rocket x360a has come up with an idea of having completion dates by every name. The club would look like this ....here... (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=34830)if I added dates Or the way they are now....here.... (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=27963) So please vote on which you prefer, I just want to see what you all think.

The person who posted the game complete first will still be in Purple and will not change even if he isn't the first to complete it by date. You would also have to post the dates you completed the games as well when updating.

Although it will take more time for you, I think that the dates in the thread is a cool idea. It also looks more organized than it is right now (no offense.) Would we have to also put the date we completed whichever game we completed when we post in the sign-up thread or would you take the date of when the post was posted?

I stand corrected. Using the dates and alphabetizing them under each date really looks awesome and professional. I say we should do it that way. And if you want some help collecting dates each game/person completed, let me know. I'll be willing to help you sort through the initial chaos to implement this.

Well I prefer it the way it is. Personally I think with the longer lists like King Kong and Fight Night it could look really chaotic, and people already don't post properly when adding games just something else they will forget to add lol and then there is people who play offline and have no dates they would be at the bottom. Also not many people remember the dates they complete games could be alot of searching to find their name, where as alphabetic bam it's right their. That's just my opinion. I would personally change it if the majority likes the dates, since I aim to please :) initially would take awhile to collect all the dates so I wouldn't expect this change to happen overnight.

Why change something that works? That's like saying I run on Windows 95 because it works and I don't want to update to Windows XP. This change can also be for the better you know. For the smaller lists, it looks more professional and organized. On the other hand, while the bigger lists may look chaotic, it will look more professional. Like I've said in I believe 3 posts already, I'll be glad to help either search for dates or post dates or whatever you want me to do if this change does happen. :)

i understand what you are saying, but is there reli a need for the change, i dont think that the work that will be have to be put in will be worth the result thats it, anyway im not gona continue thsi arguement cause we should let others have a say !!!

Alphabetical order looks much neater than by date. It seems like it would be too much work to switch everything over to a new format.

I think what Rocket might have been thinking was leaving it alphabetical, but putting their completion date in parentheses after their name.

That said, I like the way it is now, but I think the top 3 should get a special color instead of just the first. Do yellow/silver/brown for 1st/2nd/3rd and then after that it just goes alphabetical.

It just seems like an incredible amount of work for Pandora, and I think the way that it currently looks is great.

Adding the dates just makes the list longer, although having them shows who has finished earlier than others which is better than a plain list highlighting the first person.

I'll have to go without dates, it works as it is.

Yes, I was thinking more about parenthesese after the name. Showing when the person finished it. Just my thought on it. I do like the Idea of 1,2,3 color codes as well.

Edit: I won't vote on this as it is my suggestion to do, so my vote is like "cheating" if you will in my view...

The same... I don't deal well with change. Plus anything that causes more work for Pandora and takes her away from the 360/and or me is just not good.

But I like Pants Party's idea about doing the first 3 names colour coded.I do like this idea... if only to have my name color-coded in Sith Red for NCAA 2008. With all the damn problems I had with that game and to still be the second person complete I deserve something.

Most games that I complete are offline, since I play my majority of games offline, so the dates wouldn't be too fun for me. That's a loooot of work involved, too, so I'm gonna have to go with "no" on this one.

Good thought but 1st should stay purple, 2nd should be "sith" red and 3rd should be green. three colors that stand out very well regardless what background theme people are using (Black and Gold FTW!)

Personally no offence taken ref the idea, but like others have said i like it the way it is now, why change a good sytem that works and has done for a long time. But the 3 colour system i think would work well. :)

Well, I've read all the posts in this thread and what seems to often come out is the "professional" look the dates add to the leaderboard. If all we need is a different look, I'm sure we can come out with something that will look more "professional" without the added work the dates will give Pandora.

I also like the idea of PantsParty about the 3 first to finish it....or maybe have the top 10 only with finish dates. I believe that the 144th person to finish FN3 will not be information we are really going to look for...

Pandora does such a great job and puts enough awesome work into the maximum clubs that I really think while dates is a nice feature we really don't need it. I like Pants compromise idea but honestly we really don't need that either, it's nice when the recongnition of the purple coloring goes to the first person on the site who finishes a game. It really doesn't matter who finished second or third or thirtieth. We're a community and I kinda feel like the lists are a brag for us of how many people in our community have finished a game, more like a team environment ya know :) So my thoughts are just to keep it the way it is.

Alright I added to the sample thread dates how Rocket wanted it and the top 3 in color so feel free to take a look again. I do however like the 3 color idea Purple and Blue would be 1st and 2nd to post and Green would be 1st by completion Date I can see the colors as a fair compromise :)

I think adding completion dates to everyones 1000s is just too much work and in the end it won't look all that great.
I think the best idea is for the first 3 to complete it to get colors on there name.
Its like a badge for being the first one on new territory.

Well after some thought and all your opinions on this matter. While as I like the idea, having dates really isn't needed and I think would distract from actually finding names on the clubs. However the 3 color suggestion I will be implementing :) It's a nice idea and nice compromise to dates. And the top 3 will be recognized that is better than any other site who lists just alphabetical. That will however take sometime, for the earlier games like King Kong, since I will have to go by the completion date for 2nd and 3rd . Purple is 1st to post Blue is 2nd to post and Green is 1st by completion date, so any new members who sign up have a shot at getting on top by completion date. If more than one person has the same date it will be name drawn from random for the 3rd color. Thanks for the suggestions everyone :)
