So I just got my OXM tonight and I put in the disc and it won't even work. It either says "MIxed Media Disc" - Unreadable , or it will say please put this disc in a 360. I really wanna play the Beautiful Katamari Demo. Is this happening to anyone else or did I just get a bad disc? And if so how can I get a new one?

The messed up thing is, this is actually a good suggestion. The whole boiling disks thing is because of poor manufacturing leaving a film on the surface of the disks that will boil off. From what I've read the OXM disks are notorious for this problem.

Take it back to the shop and demand a replacement as they sold you a faulty item,
even though its only a magazine with a disk,
its still covered by your consumer rights.

Some where in the mag should be a web site to get a free replacement disk. They send out crappy Cd's alot so they will replace it no qustions asked.

If you have a disk cleaner use it, that always works for me.

They do... its www.officialxboxmagazine.com (http://www.officialxboxmagazine.com) there should be a link somewhere at the bottom for disk replacement. They only offer one repacement disk per year, so use it wisely.

But from what Ive read on the forum, boiling should work, I think I rember someone using a toothbrush to clean it off. Strange...

Also your not missing a whole lot on the Katamari demo, I personnaly didnt care for it.

Finnaly, sadly most stores dont allow exchanges or refunds on magazines after its been sold. One of my parents works at a Barns & Noble and she has told me about rules and stuff like that.

I have had a few OXM disks not play as well, I just clean them up with a soft cloth, and they usually work fine after that.

I have yet to try out the disc yet as I am 360less.

About the achievements on OXM. They were added on the first 2/3 because of some problem so there won't be any on Issue 24's ;)

I would get a replacement disc to be on the safe side.

What do you mean 24s. Thats sucks tho they really should give you achievements on the disc again.
