Case in point, how we're treating Michael Vick. When Ray Lewis was accused of murder, nothing happened. When Kobe was accused of rape, he didn't lose a penny from Nike. But with Michael Vick, we now have PETA and congressmen involved.
More importantly, hundreds of thousands of americans have doggy day care, yet an even greater number of kids are alone all day while their parents work. Veternarians make a solid living, while millions of americans cannot afford healthcare. Some of us condone their public defacation and dog owner's cars smell awful.
A wise man once said, you see two animals, one is carrying the other's s***, who's in charge? I don't condone violence against dogs, but I don't condone them as replacements for kids either.

ok if you have even seen what he did to the dogs you would know why everyone is so dam mad.if vick did what he did to the dogs to just 2 people he would get life now hes looking at a min 5 years so dont go saying we care to much about something that can not do anything to help its self(its not like hes going away 4 life).I think some people care more about there dogs then anything but there mans best friend you must not have a dog if you did theres no way you would say we care to much.also dogs alot of times dogs are part of the famliy and its allways been like that where have you been..............and last a wise man once said bahbahbah well if we dont pick it up we could get a ticket DUH.

(sorry if my spelling was bad)

Well, as you said: Ray Lewis was accused of murder. Key word: accused. Legally, they can't do anything, since he wasn't proven guilty. Same with Kobe. Yet, lets look at the ages of these kids that are left alone in their houses. What is the age range? Would you know, would anyone know? Sure, it would be safe to say that most of those kids would be teens, but we can't know.

Second: A lot of people in the world can't afford health care. It all depends on the government, and on people's financial situations. Some countries have free health care[but higher taxes] and some don't. All they can do is wait for 2008 and vote for a new president.

Lastly: Which wise man said that? We might hear of a kid's death every once in a while in the US, or of kid's left at their homes, but rarely do we hear of the discovery of hundred of dog's corpses and their execution in such a way that shocks millions.

"how we're treating michael vick"

please..... he's not even getting what he deserves. three wrongs don't make a right; those other cases have no bearing here. just because they didn't get what they should have means nothing. hell, we didn't even impeach our president when he commited adultery. think about that.

oh, and hey, there are plenty of dogs and cats that get put to sleep daily because they can't find owners for them. last i checked we don't put kids to sleep because someone can't find them parents.

your comparison is irrelevant, and condoing ol' vick for brutally murdering and torturing dogs doesn't exactly get your point across in a convincing manner. besides, we've got bigger fish to fry than dog owners cars smelling awful.

like people stealing ipods.

don't you watch 20/20?

The major difference in those cases is that Kobe and Lewis were both found not guilty due to insufficient evidence and faulty testimonies. Vick got caught red handed, and I hope he gets tossed out of the NFL on his ass so an example's set.

And yes, it is a big fucking deal when people do this crap, especially with dogs. I get more upset when I hear about animal cruelty more than nearly anything else, because it's just unnecessary and shows a total lack of respect for any form of life. Dogs in particular. Dogs are some of the most loyal, loving creatures on the planet. No matter what's going on in your life, your dog will never care, he'll still be excited to see you come home at the end of the day.

I hope Vick gets some serious jail time for this shit, and the same thing goes for anyone who engages in this kind of activity.

im pretty much going to echo the previous three posts...This guy had a mini dog genocide at his place... he didnt take the dog out back and "put it down" like we do here in the country when the dog is old and sick, he hung, electrocuted, and slit their throats... fuck this guy...its not allegded. it happened.... and dogs, unlike humans do not have the ability to tell their side of the story

you show me a human that did this to people and ill have the same response.

even flea, a well known dog hater, would never do something of this magnitude.

I care more about animals than I do about people for some reason. Most animals can't defend themselves, so it's really cruel and pathetic when you see something like this on the news.

Has anyone ever seen that video with these 2 kids from Belgium set a live kitten on fire? It was really sick and cruel, I couldn't believe what I was watching when I saw it.. Anyway, whoever does this kind of shit deserves to rot in hell. There's absolutely no excuse for animal cruelty.

Art Vandeley fortunately... or unfortunately as it may be you're not going to find many people around here that share your point of view especially when the case point you're using is Michael Vick... I mean he is a class a duck up. Much like the episode of Seinfeld where we meet your gamertag namesake no love for thy fellow man do I have and Rottweilers FTW.... even Flea likes those their German.

Completely agreed.

Anyways, there is already a thread on Vick, no need for another one.
