That's horrible news.

Not only that....that's a HUGE push. That screams major development issues to me.

Isn't this when we supposed to say things like, "...it's OK, I want it to be ready..,' or '..just think how much better it will be...' or '...atleast I have all those other new games to play...'.

I think they just wanna make sure that there are over 14 people over the age of 18 that own a PS3 before it releases.

Actually this helps relieve my pocketbook this fall some. Sad but i think i'll get over it playing the other great titles still coming out

Aw man. Well, just to think positive, they can only make it better in the time they extended it until. :p

But I'm bummed. I really wanted to start playing it sooner than April of 2008... :mad:

I'll forget all about the push when I'm plying Bioshock, Mass Effect, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, PGR4, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Skate, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Half-Life 2 Orange Box, Assassins Creed, Unreal Tournament III, Army of Two, My Beautiful Katamari...oh and the 1 million other games coming out this year.
All that is more then enough to tide me over until then. One less sixty dollar purchase.

Sucks ass. I heard some bad stuff about it on egm podcast. Framerate problems, crappy graphics, popup like crazy. If they need the time to fix it, then so be it.

My main forum that i visit is one of the biggest GTA Fan Sites (Which im also part staff on :P) and you should see the disappointment there.

Ehhhhhhh whatever, let them take their time. I rather have a good complete product then a rushed piece of shit. NBA 2K8 and Virtua Fighter 5 will keep me busy in Oct.

That actually really really really sucks!!!! This was one of my most awaited for games of the year!

BUT like others have pointed out, it is good to get all the kinks work out, BUT ALSO I do smell a small bit of conspiracy with it supposedly being delayed longer for PS3. Now dollar to a donut, they will be launched at the same time. I bet there were some back room talks at Sony with Rockstar about this. I can't imagine any bug being that big to delay this game that long. Thoughts?

I can't say much that has not been said yet.....I bought the last 3 GTA games the day they came out...and I'll do the same even though it's pushed to next year!

We will still get some awesome games until then...Bioshock comes to mind right away!!!

Definitely sucks, but I can't say that I'll be missing it while getting adjusted to life at Uni and playing the other games coming out. C'est la vie.

Of course there can be bugs to delay it that long. If you look at what Italian said, a lot of gaming press are saying the game has bad issues. Maybe they are wising up and trying to fix. If that's the case I'm not arguing with their decision.

Im actually glad about it. Since I wasn't going to buy a single game, except for this, my GTA 4 fund will be going to rentals. Then Ill beat GTA 4 next summer. Huuzah. Still a disapointment, but I don't mind.

Why? It only says Grand Theft Auto 4 on it, and the game isn't canceled for the 360 =/, I wonder what he would say if he still worked for microsoft.

What's wrong with the main character? It's definitely too late to change that. I personally like him.

Man...you are skipping on a TON of great games. The best game season of the 360 yet...IMO.

Honestly this makes me happy. It opens up time fro me to play 1 of the other 12 games i have reserved plus it will be alot easier on my cash holder ;) I could really care less, for some reason im not as pumped about this game as i should be. Hopefully they will take that time and add more content along with fixing any bugs that they got.

First off, why don't they just release the 360 version if it's done? Microsoft paid loads of money so I don't see why they are still more loyal to Sony. Second, luckily my pre-order still holds up, but I was looking forward to this game. Thirdly, what about the episodic content now? It was supposed to come out in March, but that's when the game comes out.

He meant for 360/PS3 games that are coming out this year. Obviously, Ratchet and Clank is a Sony exclusive product.

I wouldn't base any faith on their listed ship dates. I remember Super Mario Galaxy being listed as a launch title until one month before the Wii dropped.

Rockstar said April...so we have to look at it as April.

Actually this is probably a good thing for Rockstar cause before it was releasing very near to Halo 3. By the time this game comes out, I'm betting it will actually sell even more units than it's previous release date. Plus the fact that they're working out all the bugs and getting this game up the standards that we're all holding it to. It's crap that a main reason it's getting delayed is because the PS3 is lacking though.

To all those saying that this is somehow helping Sony: this is hurting them even more. GTAIV was supposed to be one of the first good games dropping on the system (not exclusive mind you) to bulk up their small library. So waiting months longer to get a flagship title while Microsoft has a huge megatron sized line-up waiting in the wings isn't helping Sony at all.

Who cares about cod 4 beta there is no online achievements so no one will play online much i will a tiny bit but whats the point if there aint achievements???

This is the worst thing that has ever happened to the 360 coz im gonna get so much shit from my gf who loves GTA and shes a right moaner, so im bang in trouble.

I wish they had delayed halo 3 instead

I just got a call the other day from where I reserved the game telling me it was delayed. This is very dissapointing, but I guess it will give me time to play the other games I reserved (Halo 3 and Guitar Hero 3).

na i personally am gonna love GTA4 but halo will take you all of two weeks to get the full 1000 which doesn't bother me because i'll be playing multiplayer but many people were looking forward to this game and now it's been delayed o w3ll but now i have to wait like 7 months for my pre-order to be fulfilled HOPE I DONT LOSE MY RECPIEPT i already threw 60 bucks on this game lol so when it comes out i won't have to play a dime

I just found out myself today, I went in my local gamestop for a minute and seen it was delayed to 3-4-08 scrolling acroos the little sign above the counter.....That SUCKS!

Thanks for bring this back up. Your insight has been quite useless. This thread has been DEAD for 3 months and you feel the need to tell us to calm down about the delay.
