View Full Version : (56K Beware!!!)Have any of you Simpsons fan visited your local Kwik-E-Mart?

I found a 7-11 that transformed into the Kwik-E-Mart promoting the Simpsons movie. That was the most cars and people I've seen at a 7-11 ever! Here are some of my quick shots. I had to take them quick because there was a ton of people and there was an actual line with people waiting to take pictures of the props. Enjoy guys!

Here's a few pics of the Simpsons "props" you can buy at your local 7-11 as well(merchandise should be available at all participating 7-11's, not just Kwik-E-Mart stores).

I am still missing a few more props. I believe I'm missing a Duff Energy Drink, Radioactive Man Comic Book, and the KrustyO's Cereal.

No Duff Beer though.:(

Initially they were going to have Duff Beer however they wanted to stay on the more family side of things so it was nixed. I believe this was done to 11 stores throughout the states. 7-11 went to great lengths in communicating with managers about this because well many of the 7-11 managers are of india or asian decent. I read where one younger manager someone around Seattle (maybe?) is a huge Simpsons fan and was planning to wear Apu's uniform and name tag to just add to the feeling of it being a Kwik-E-Mart.

Great promotional idea from the guys at Fox. And thanks for the photos Jdm, I was curious what this would have looked like as there isn't a transformed 7-11 near me.

^^^I believe they started tearing it down this morning. My bro and his friend went to the one I went to and at midnight, they were putting things back the way they were.

They decided to do that at select 711's.
It's pretty fuckin' cool though I think.

One of my 7-11s had some of the props inside, but nothing as cool as that.

I did try a "squishee" was eerily similar to the "slurpee" I usually get :eek:

i haven't found a Kwik-E-Mart close to where i live so i guess i'll just check out the boring 7-Eleven lol.

That's really cool. They didn't have any Kwik-E-Marts in Canada, but they still had most merchandise. I got Krusty O's (basically Fruit Loops), a Squishee, and a Duff energy drink. I wish we had the buzz cola or the comic book here...
