360 problem: happen to you?

Ok, so i was playing on my 360 earlier today and while i was playing my power flickered (hardly noticable). Here is the wierd part, my 360 shut off and the 3 rings of death appeared. My first reaction was "oh fuck" so i turned off and then back on. It turned on no problem so i just thought it was weird and wasnt going to worry about it. I started up my contoller to find that it wont connect to my 360. I tried restablishing my connection to my 360 with both my controllers, nothing. When i turn them on they just start flashing.

Anyways i was just wondering if any of you have had this problem with your contollers. If you did what did you do to fix it. If i have to send this son bitch in again im really going to be pissed cause two worlds comes out in 2 weeks and i know damn well i wont have it in time :(

i got the 3 red lights...hardware problem w/ my second 1 andx my hd dvd player....shut em off p[ut em on and baM:)...lol faulty shit

You might have answered this, but did you do the Wireless Re-connect, where you hit the button on your console then the same thing on your controller? And not just try to boot the controller/console up by the Guide button?

U guys have to have a lil more faith in me, come on :) Anyways yes, as i said i tried reconnecting both of my controllers. Also its not the 3 rings of death, i know this bc i can turn on my 360 and if i put a game in it will work. I just have no way of navagating the menus or play my games cause the controllers wond sync up.

Tried removing (or even replacing) the controller batteries and reconnecting your console's power cables? Never know :confused: Just sounds like they can't get on the same page, so a fresh power boot may fix it..like you do with a pc & modem sometimes..

I would unplug everything (after you turn the power off), even from the surge protectors, hook em back up, change batteries (or packs) and try using the connection buttons after that..

You sir, have had a small power surge. I hate to tell you, but you are also screwed. Same thing happened to me. RROD once, then it let me play for like a week. Then rings again, then it let me play for a day or two. Three weeks later, I had to call for a coffin. I'd get a plug n play kit so that you can play, but I'd preemptively call for a coffin. Tell them that you've already got the three red rings (not a lie,) and get it done. After the warranty announcement, they're packed, and it's gonna take a few weeks to get that bad boy back.

Well, he shouldn't rush sending it away yet. He should troubleshoot a bit, worth trying to avoid a 3 week wait if you ask me.

I'd get a plug n play kit so that you can play.

^^^I would do the same, but if you tried syncing it up using the Play and Charge Kit already and it still won't work...I'm sorry to say, but 1-800-4-MY-XBOX

Yea, ive had the play and charge kit since i bought this badboy. This sucks cause i was cruisin 2, picked up like 6 or 700 yesterday. Im going to try a few things out and wait to see if anyone else can shed some light.

Its not to bad anyways, my brother has a 360 that he hardly plays. If worse comes to worse then i can just borrow his for a couple of weeks ;) The only thing im worried about is if the warrenty will still cover my 360. I had my last repair less then a year ago but i bought my 360 back in april of last year. I can only hope they will
