A bridge collapsed in Northern California a few days ago too, crushed a Fed-Ex truck and a few other cars.

BTW, speaking of Fed-Ex, subliminal messaging ftw:

See if you can spot the arrow. :p

It's a bridge within Minneapolis that crosses the Mississippi River. The collapse happened during rush hour so it was bumper to bumper traffic. This is pretty bad as they're not sure exactly how many cars were on the bridge at the time, fires have broken out in some areas and they're trying to get everything contained.

I am just seeing this on CNN right now...wow. I can't imagine what it'd be like to be on a bridge and have it collapse.

it is insane. that is the only main route for people that use it to travel to Minneapolis to work. and as was mentioned, it was rush hour here when it happened. there is not yet a confirmation of # of casualties, but it will be pretty bad i am afraid.

i just drove that very route yesterday at the same time it collapsed, for my ball game. and it was packed bumper to bumper. i can not imagine what it must've been like for those on it.

my dad uses that bridge about 2 or 3 times a day for his work, if he was to work today he would have probably would have got off right has it happen.
