How long does it take to get 1000 GS and is it hard? Can you use the cheats and still get achievements? Are the bronze silver and gold rewards hard to find?

I did it in 3 days, but I had a few set backs, so I could have easily done it in two days. Maybe even one, if I had the guide with me and a load of hours to spare.

yeah id say your looking at nearly an hour a level on average, plus an hour or so to run round croft mannor.
then you have to do time trials of each level- only done the first one but the target for that is 13 minutes, so there not that long
What are the time trials like? Are the times harsh or is there room for the odd mistake?

lol hell no!!
i did it what i thought was perfectly first time and was miles from the end when the time ran out
Time trials suck! Was gonna buy this today, but went with Football Manager 2006 in the end. All I need now is my 360 which is like 100 miles away

send me football manager then!!
need to buy that game at some point. but know im going to be abusing top spin and tiger (when i get it back), so doubt ill play it. and need to finish condemned, kong and amped as well. scoobys too far ahead in points at the mo :p
You wish, lol. I'll be back with my 360 tomorrow :D
I've got bits and pieces to do on games, like finish GRAW on hard and just purchased Fight Night 2 (great game, love smacking the shit out of someone) so need to play that sometime and I need to nail Football Manager, 1000 points there for me :D
Condemned, Tiger and PDZ have been put on the back burner. Thats why I ain't bought Miss Croft's latest adventure as of yet.

miss croft is very good fun tho, highly recomended.
footie manager will be my reward for finishing the other 3 games i think.
and as for the ryder cup, thats not going to be for a month minimum. i need to wait for EA to send me a new copy, then to actually organise stuff as well
A month sounds good to me, would probably be perfect timing :D
Will get Tomb Raider when i've got a regular income in the summer. Can only just afford Football Manager now, damn students and wasting their money on beer :p

Luckily i had a week of work so spent the most part playing my xbox.
But this is by far the easiest game ive played to get 1000 Points, i did it in a day :( kinda sad but i love TR games!
The Time Trials were pretty easy i thought, i did them all first time except Japan, the boss died with 3 seconds left but the cut scene didnt kick in on time, 2nd attempt i did alot quicker with 1min to spare :). Just dont get too caught up killing baddies and you should be fine.
Also you dont need to collect every award from every level to get those achievements, ive still got 3 levels left to do to get all the rewards, in total im about 8 missing. Once ive got those i may sell it on

Once you beat the game can you go back to any level to get the secrets i missed or would i have to play through the entire game again?

Nope you can just replay the level, also just say you had one secret left to find - you can replay the level - find the secret and then "Save Rewards" in the pause menu, then you can quit the level.
So you dont have to play through the entire level to collect rewards, just find em and save them :)
Excellent feature

Yes, Croft manor includes a fair few bonze awards, few silver and 1 gold reward - i cant remember the exact figures but there are def some there. The gold one requires certain clues to be found.

I was able to get all rewards, all achievements, and beat all time trials in less than 18 hours of playing, so if you play a little bit each night like I did, it should take about a week or so. It was a good game IMO, but also quite short.

If you're looking to beat it just for the achievements then you can expect about 8-9 hours for 1000 GP using a guide, and add a couple more hours to that without a guide.

I say at least two to three days. The only real hard parts are the time trails.

it real short game but the rewards are hard with no guide and the trials are easy.

Some of the gold reward would be very hard without a guide but the bronze and silver are kinda like the birds in condemned.
1 DAY? If your sad enough to play the game for about 15 hours straight maybe... But the majority of that is finding rewards.
With a guide to the rewards a few hours less, and the time trials are easy if you use the glitch where theres no timer until you die. Otherwise, they are quite hard.

this is what i did
i beat the game on easy, and grabbed every bronze / silver / gold i could find without using any cheats or guides. then i played threw all levels again and all medals i couldnt find i checked out igns guides, and picked up all my medals, and before i went to the next level i replayed the level on the time trial to get that achievement cause i just played it and know where everything is so it was easy. then when i got all my medals and time trials, i played threw the game on hard (you have to start a new game on HARD), and you CANT use cheats either, you can only use them for time trials, and i beat the game on hard with no cheats pretty much running threw it in 2 hours and 8 min. so it was pretty easy, fun game, not hard at all for all 1000 gluck everyone

took me 18,5 hours to complete the 1000...
played through the game on easy (with getting all the medals), then did the timt-trials, and after that i repeated the levels on hard via levelselect with cheats on (bulletproof, one-shot-kills) worked fine for me...

If your lookin for a "quick" 1000 this game is prolly a good choice....plus its fun, I have been playin tomb raider since it first came out on PS1. Remember the T-Rex lol, and that insanely long jump off the bridge. Anyways Legends is good fun I thought!! Gameplay is smooth, and the camera angles get confusing and hung up occasionally but all and all just good fun!!

Only gripe I have with the game is the length of it, took me 3 nights (about 8-9 hours in all) to complete amd that was with me messing about alot. If it was longer it would have been one of the best tombraider games, unfortunatly it dosent compare with 2 or 3 but still good fun.

On a scale of 1-10..... 2.
Really easy
just beat the lvls. achievements.
collect random medals throughout levels. (lots of videos on youtube showing you hgow to get 'em)
Beat it on hard (use cheats, easy as pie without em)
Time Trails (psst, use the time trail glitch.)
:woop:
I got full 1000 in like 1 day.

I did it all in around 16 hours, I played through the game on Hard the first time through and it really wasn't that "hard". I got all the medals while playing on hard, you normally aren't having to fight stuff while you are collecting medals, so the "hard" doesn't mean much when looking for them. This will save you from having to play through the game twice for the normal and hard completion achievements.
The time trials I found really easy, and I didn't use any cheats to beat them, the only one I had to even attempt a second time was the very first one, I missed it by like 10 seconds, kinda sucked. =-(
There are tons of cheats out there for the game, I found out about after I played through, I usually will only use a cheat on a game if I've attempted to do the achievements the right way and feel that it's too frustraiting to deal with.
This has probably been one of the best games that I've played on 360, I played the first tomb raider on the PS1 years ago and I loved it and I didn't get into any of the tomb raider games after that, I didn't like their play style changes. I was really happy to see this game was more like the first one, even if they didn't have mind numbing jumps like the first one did. This game was a pure joy to play through and I really hope they make another one with the same engine and the same difficulty and quality.
This game is really easy and when you unlocked the cheats you can beat the hard mode in no time.
King Kong and TMNT are easy 1000, but TR:L ist more fun.
About 8 hours.. only took long cuz the awards were hard to find.
Replaying thru the stages twice after the stage was easier.
Great game tho

I hadn't played a TR game since the first two back on the PS1 but I picked this one up because it looked like the first good entry in the series since those first ones. I was not disappointed.
It was one of the first games that I got 1000 GS in. Yes, you CAN use cheats to beat the game on Hard which makes it really easy. The rewards achievements are easy to get for the most part. The time trials do require you to perform a level almost flawlessly, but you should have them down pretty well by the time that you finish getting rewards and such.

Hey,
This was my first 1k game, and possibly one of my favourites so far on 360. Cant wait for the next one ^^ But anywho; heres a great link for all the rewards around. You don't actually need all of them, theres 1 or 2 more gold awards than are required for the achievement and so on.
www.tombraiderchronicles.com/tr7/walkthrough/index.html (http://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/tr7/walkthrough/index.html)
Also; Theres room for one or two mistakes during those time trials, but provided you've done the game on hard, they shouldn't be too much of a challenge.
Even better thing; If you're in the UK, HMV have this for £11 new and sealed ^^
Edit: Random, but.. if you're in the game for the sheer fun of it, 100% completion with every reward, level and time trial completed permanently unlocks the energy sword weapon from the final level, and the boxes on that final level have the Natla logo on them from TR 1 :)

I haven't gotten 1000 yet but I do have about 900 and just need to collect all the rewards. It's probably taken me about 10 hours or so. It helps if you download or print out a guide/walkthrough so you get the rewards while you complete the levels.

Just got 1000/1000. It took me roughly 10-12 hours of gameplay. I would highly suggest printing off a strategy guide so you get the rewards while you beat the level instead of going back and doing it again. Plus use the Time Trial Cheat.

I used this Walkthrough and it helped me greatly.

It only takes 4-6 hours if your use to Tomb Raider games to pull the 1k (using the 1shot kill cheat mind you for the time trials, friggin bosses like to run away) after you beat the game just start at the end, since that time trial will get you that cheat, activate it and fly through
now that extra 250 is another thing altogether..
