Has anyone read this article in newsweek? I am honestly a bit angered by Mr. Eberts poor grasp of what art "is". Of course most games like most films are lacking any artistic merrit. I find it hard that you could suggest that games are not worthy of the title of art! Can a game ellicit an emotional response from me? Is a game stylized with the intention of depecting the creator's vision of the world and what happens in it? Are we as an audience left thinking afterwards? The answer to these questions in my mind is yes. This is a virgin media. Just as film is in so many ways. I would hope Mr. Ebert remembers this as he reviews most of the rubbish that comes from the studios.

If it's the same Ebert as the fat movie reviewer guy, who really cares?

He gives two thumbs up to some of the biggest heaping piles.

We know games can be art, so who cares what they think? And games are starting to become more publicly acceptable as a form of artistic expression anyway. The elderly will never accept games as a form of art, because they have no idea what games are all about.
