360 vision camera.. is it worth it?

i was just wondering is the xbox 360 vision camera worth getting. b/c the only achievement that i can get from it would be the r6: vegas one of inputting your face into the game.

i dunno i just got some extra cash and wanted to know if it is worth buying???

I got mine at Sam's Club, and in that regards, it was totally worth it. They sell (or did sell,) XBL 12 month subscriptions with the vision cam there for $60. Since the same thing was $85 at Wally World - well, you do the math. It's kinda fun being able to take my own gamerpic, plus any time someone beats me online, it's nice to be able to flip them off to their face. :nana

I too found little use for it. Other than the R6V achievement and taking pictures of police cars I barely use it, so it hasn't really paid for itself.

If you are planning on getting one, be sure to find the best deal you can. Often place on the internet will bundle them with XBL subscriptions so when you need to renew it you could look out for a good deal.

I use it for talking to a bunch of my friends that go to different colleges sometimes and my girlfriend uses it whenever she plays uno. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy one though. I tried totem ball and couldnt even move my dude.

Its kinda cool, if your strapped for cash though its not worth it. Being able to drink with friends over XBL is pretty damn cool and im hopeing that more games with use the face maping technology. I think eventually more games will use XBLV so you can always buy it later. But I have one and like it so i voted yes.

I voted 'no' because thats the only thing good thats comes out of buying one, unless you play UNO online a lot. I'd wait to buy one because there aren't really that many great games to use it with.

$40 for a 30GS doesn't seem worth it, unless you're using it for more than that. If you had family with a 360 or something. Only reason I would get one is to have the most unique gamer picture. Get one used if you do decide to buy it.

I bought it around Christmas to use it with my Vegas character. But now I use in in the few arcade games that support it and to occasionally send a picture to a friend.

My Xbox Live subscription ran out sometime this past March and it was then that I purchased the Xbox Live Gold Subscription Pack. It came with the 12 Months, Webcam, and a wired headset so I didn't really have to purchase the webcam seperate. I haven't really used it much in games other than for the R6 achievement and a couple of arcade games here and there, but it did make Uno that much more interesting. Fun times... Fun times. :drunk

I think the only other retail game that uses the vision cam besides R6 Vegas is Rayman, which honestly sucked. I don't really use it all that often so I would say avoid it for now.

I installed it on my 360 and got the Rainbow achievement. Haven't used it since.
Best of all though, my girlfriend bought it so it didn't cost me a damn thing !

Well i just picked one up brand new .. package included Live Vision Camera, Wired Headset, Free Uno code, And 1 month XBOX LIVE code .. and all for only 15 dollars .. thats right !


Now i can finally play Totemball .. oh and bieng able to use it as a webcam on the puter is cool to.
