View Full Version : Stat boosting the easy way!

For starters this game is for the most part easy and simple once you understand how it works. With that said this is the best solution I have found. To avoid the frustration of the boosted stats of the A.I. in season 3 and the possibility of having to completely start the career over. Here is what I did.

In the first season after the tutorial get 2nd place in the very first race you do. Then choose to continue and NOT to restart race. When you continue you will be given the chance to apply stat points (always upgrade SPEED and STAMINA in season 1). After the points are applied and the game saves you will the choose the race you placed 2nd on and continue getting 2nd or 3rd even, to the best of your ability. Hitting continue and applying stat points yet again. Once you feel you have done enough stat boosting continue through the season competing in every event and having 1st on all of them. Do the the annuals you can to boost them up even higher.

Once I finished the first season I had speed and stamina at least level 3. At this point I kept leveling those two and started putting some points on turn and a few points on dive and finish. Then went on doing everything I could and anytime I placed 2nd you guessed it continue and boost them even higher.

When I went into the third season speed and stamina were completely maxed and turn was at least five, the others being two or higher.
Doing this will take a bit longer than the 3 hours most say the game can be done but take my advice and play this safe or you be spending more time swimming harder opponents. Have fun and hope this keeps you from playing this thing through twice like I and many I know had to.:eek:Gamertag wraithrock for any questions.

Would you be willing to not necessarily give a step by step of your boosting, but tell us when we should be able to stop boosting our stats and when it should be safe to continue on playing the seasons? Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I just don't want any wasted effort, you know? I don't want to max out all of my stats in the very beginning while I didn't need to and wasted my effort when I should have let it come naturally.

I'm probably not making much sense, but I basically wanted to know when to stop boosting and when to pick it back up again. I will probably go the safe route and overly boost my stats in the beginning, but at the same time, I like to be as time efficient as best I can.

Thanks.

I probably did this for 30 to 45 minutes maybe a little less. It is mostly about what you feel comfortable with. You do get a lot of points just getting first throughout the seasons. I just wanted to be sure my second time through and that's why I posted it as an option for people just starting the game. It can be done without boosting IF u spend the points right.

I boosted them up in the first season to the point where when I finished season 1 speed and stamina were level 3 or higher. I did all of the events in the first 2 seasons and many of easier annuals and moved on to the next season. I got 2nd in a few of the races on season 2 and also chose to continue getting more stats. The only thing I forgot to mention above is if your not sure but want to move on you can leave one of the races at 2nd and copy your save to another usb or memory unit before moving on to the 2nd season annuals. If for some reason you get into season 3 and can't compete you would then revert to the earlier save and boost them up. Hope that makes it a bit clearer. The better your swimmer the easier the game gets.

I'm one of the many that had to start over. This guide makes sense and ill try it tonight and work on it till my stats are maxed. I had to restart on the back stroke event. My mistake was at the annual I did one event and moved on. When season 2 started I was slaughtered. I'll edit this post with results. Thanks for sharing this tip.

here are some notes from me since 1king today, took only 3 hours even with boosting.

For those who haven't played the game, the reason you are trying to get second place and not first is because the game will not allow you to replay any race you have gotten first in. 1st place gives 3-4 points, 2nd gives 2-3, and 4th gives 1 i think (seems to be random). if you accidentally get first don't stress, there are plenty of places to boost in season 1. in fact it might be faster to boost on a 50m race instead, if you dont get 2nd or 3rd just restart race so you dont have to wait through the loading screens.

annuals: 1st seasons i did all the 100m only, 2nd season i only did one 100m. just do whatever you are comfortable with. if you have 10 speed+stamina i think its possible to win any race in season 3 with proper timing.

challenges: wtf why are these in here? ive completed a challenge, got first place, and still only got 3 points to add to my guy (meaning-no incentive to complete the extra challenge they note). dont stress on these, they dont seem to do anything at all.

like the OP says, i would get speed and stamina around level3..then just go directly for speed (unless you suck at keeping the pace, then maybe keep putting more into stamina). after speed is 10, get stamina to 7-10. the rest of the stats dont seem to help nearly as much, and will only shave tenths of a second off your time.

good luck!

You can also stat boost during the annual games. Find the annual game youre best at. For me it was 100m Breast stroke. Get 1st on it. You should get 4 stat points. Hit the reset annual games button. You will keep the stats you earned and you can do the game again.

Thanks mate massive help. You just need to win both races and then allocate the points and then choose reset annual games, just to clarify.

Also can you try more than one event at one time?

Actually I disagree with you guys I think you will need finish high as I always get owned at the end of the races in Season 3.
