Going away to Italy for 4 weeks!

Yep tomorrow I'm Leaving for Italy on vacation for about 40 days! I'm kinda scared because the only time I've been out of Canada was in like 1998 when my family went on a trip to Florida for a week. Since then I've been terrified of flying :( and Tomorrow I gotta go on a 7 or so hour plane ride. Ill be going with my sister & two grandparents & I got family over there waiting for me. For the first week ill be touring Rome then for the remaining 3 weeks we will be visiting my Grandfathers Home town. (forget the name but it's south of Rome). Well I am really excited but scared at the same time. SO far from home lol & I hear the pick pockets in Italy are very experienced. :p Oh well I don't know when I'm gonna do without my 360 for 40 days but ill be back for the, sure to be amazing Holiday season. 40 days!? I couldn't go 4 days without playing. Well actually the longest I went without playing was 2 weeks, when I went to Florida. I would of rather went to Italy for 4 weeks though, I'll tell you that. (ofcourse bringing my xbox along ;))

If you can, go up to the North and see the Italian Lakes- its aboslutly gorgeous. Its where they did all the lake scenes in Casino Royale....

Also Venice is nice (bar the sewer smell), but probably not with your sister.

7 hour plane ride? I wish buddy... from here (Edmonton) to Rome, its about 24 hours from the time you get to Edmonton International to the time you arrive in Rome... Ontario's not that much closer

is that way in all the touristy places in europe... just be careful if there is a street performer, he/she will usually have someone walking around the crowd snatching wallets.... i kept my passport and wallet in my front pocket at all times when i was over there too... its probably no worse than downtown NYC though in all honesty.

Well i was told it's going to take about 7 or 8 hours. And i live in Toronto which is pretty much the bottom of Ontario near the great lakes. Pretty far from Edmonton. Either way if it takes 24 hours im gonna be very mad/scared/Bored.

Ya i was going to message you about that. Just was going to tell you if you hit the mark I won't be around to congratulate you until Monday night. I didn't want to you to think i was a sore loser. I will have a 360 there (my friend is taken his), but I refuse to hit the 100 000 well offline. I've been saving Nascar for the weekend and I'am taking my harddrive, so I may get a few points casually playing it.

I love Italy. Beautiful scenery, great weather, and crazy-hot pussy everywhere. Their food ain't bad either. I agree with Minty, try to make your way north and see some of the sites up there. Northern and Southern Italy are surprisingly different but both are great in their own ways I think.

I've been to Italy before, nice buildings and all that, but a bunch of guys selling glasses and camera stand-ups on blankets on the road. Nice place to go, but we were fucking pickpocketed by someone. Opened my moms purse and her wallet was gone. What a douchebag, kinda ruined the trip. But anyways hope nothing bad happens to you! Have fun

One of the coolest things to do is tour Julius Cesar's place, and the Roman Colluseum. Vatican City is good as well. Be sure to check out the Sistene Chapel!

geez, it takes about 24 hours to go from Toronto to Australia..Europe is somewhat closer...I would say around 7-9 hours, it took me 8 hours from Montreal to Belgium.
