That's correct and will probably remain that way..

In regards to your browser history ... Not like it's any of my business as to why you want to delete it ...

But go to the browser click the triple ... That will bring up a range of options .. Click settings go down and delete history ..

As for the browser, apart from the obvious reason I want to delete it - don't want my wife to see the websites I was browsing when looking for a gift ;-) (the only possible reason) - I do delete the browser history, but the websites still show...

It used to be that would clear EVERYTHING. I know, cause I did it once just to see what it deleted. It even cleared my saved passwords and stuff, which was a little annoying since I had to look up on firefox on my PC to figure out what they were all over again lol

for those who just want to delete browser history rather than delete the whole records(cookies, pass etc.)
just click the "..." , then select "recent", then click the delete icon. you're done.
