How to score consistently?

I control possession for most of the games and I'm not a bad defender but i can't seem to score to save my life. I have a hard time getting past the last defender and when I do 8 out of 10 the GK saves the ball. Pretty much every game play I have like 10+ shots and my opponent has 5 and scores 3 out of 5. Agaisnt the CPU in harder difficulty is the same the Gk makes some crazy saves . Any tips? this crap is driving me nuts.

I have actually found it a lot easier to score goals on FIFA 12, maybe its the way you play? You don't always have to get pass the last defender.

Possession percentage doesn't really matter...I rarely break 35-40% possession on the matches that I win. What that means is I make quick, precise strikes. Get the ball down the field quickly, and get your strikers down the field quickly.

When you get to the box, stop running, take a step to the left or right, and kick it in. Just like in every Fifa game...if you take that quick side-step, the ball will go in every time.
