As far as I can tell you'll need another monitor. Unless you want to drop cash for something like this:

Any chance of taking the TV back? You could also get a video card that supports outputing to component.

Or you could just get a graphics card with an S-Video out, if you TV doesnt have an S-Video connection get a SCART - SVideo box.

You can buy a cheapish GFX card with an S-Video out for about £10.

A graphics card with DVI would work also given the TV has a DVI input. (not many of them do since the release of HDMI and only very few before then)

Where did he say it had DVI? I didn't see that anywhere.

He didn't, nor did I say it has DVI. I'm just saying if it does then thats an option also.

Furthermore if per se it does have DVI it would be simpler to just use a VGA to DVI converter, however as I stated not many TV's have DVI.

No need to be sorry, I read stuff wrong all the time; besides I could have definitely worded that better.

DVI...DVI...DVI.

Saying that, if he had DVI out on the PC he could then go DVI->HDMI with a cable (£20-30) as they're both digital connections (unlike VGA).

It's quite capable of going any of the routes mentioned above (Comp, S-Video, or DVI->HDMI - assuming that's a feasible method).

I have an old Radeon 8500 128 (dual out) capable of both DVI and TV-out, if you fancy paying the postage fees you can have it. Don't expect to go playing Crysis on it though ;). Check your PC's outputs tonight and let me know.
