Rather than using my Windows to capture video from my TV through my VCR for games, I was thinking I'd like to do it on my Mac.
Plus my Windows computer always bugs out on me and resets when I do it on that computer.
Is there anything like the AVI capture shit that there is for Windows out there for the Mac?
I'm not looking for expensive shit.

Snapz Pro X (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/11530&page=3)captures video, I can't remember if it costs money though.
(Edit: iShowU (http://www.shinywhitebox.com/home/home.html) might be worth a try as well, I've heard some good reviews but I haven't tried it out myself.)

I need something that records games on the 360.

The tricky thing is finding one that has compatable software with the Mac. Plextor has this (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1239389&CatId=1428) one but its $230 USD. Here (http://daystar-store.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=656) is a cheaper one made by Daystar Tech, its $99 USD. It requires Quicktime so you may need the Pro version which will be a little extra. Hopefully these help and will give you some ideas.

For the second one you listed, I have the iMac, will it be compatible? Like does it have the card already in it?

System Requirements
Any USB 2.0 and Sound-in Equipped or Upgraded:
Apple Power Macintosh G4, or G5
iMac G4, G5 or Intel-based.
PowerBook G4
MacBook
MacBook Pro
Mac Mini
Software Requirements
Mac OS X 10.3.5 or greater
Basically this is a small device that you would connect to the 360 or a split from it and it will send the video to your Mac through USB 2.0. You can look in the System Profiler which should be in Applications, Utilities. One the left side select USB under Hardware, if there is a USB High-Speed Bus listed in the top right box you have USB 2.0.

Yeah I know of all the USB connections, it's just this is my first attempt to understanding any of this for the Mac. I think I'm going to DEFINATELY make Video Walkthroughs once I do this. It's such perfect placement too because the Mac is next to my VCR/360, whereas my Windows is across the room.
The room isn't big and it can still reach, but yeah. Thanks for all your help.
I hope this thread remains active so that once I get it going I can get some more help. :p
