can you lose corruption points because i accidently burnt down everlast glade and now have 5% corruption, can i get rid of it?

Yes, doing good deeds will lower your corruption. Such as keeping Rose when you need to choose between Rose and Velvet.

i chose velvet and have 20% corruption, what can i do to get it up easily or get it down easily?

I don't know where the post is with all of the un-corruption things in, so I'll post the ones I remember after that point in the game.

Save the Elven women in Goldo's stronghold.
Show mercy to the traitors.
Return the Mother Goddess statue.

Those alone will be more than enough to get rid of 20% so long as you don't get any more corruption.
