anyone works at a Gamestop,Gamecrazy,Blockbuster?

I have a friend who works in a Blockbuster store and I always bust his chops because he is one of the few people I know that are SO happy to go to work day in and day out.

they are usually jointed to hollywood video but they might only have them in houston or texas not sure but i have one real close i used to go to it alot but now i just dont buy that many games anymore :(

We have Gamecrazy and Hollywood in Illinois. I hear it's fun, I got a few friends who want to work at Gamestop, so I assume it's not bad.

I work at a EB/Gamestop here. It's actually not as fun as one might think it is. It is just like anyother normal retail job you still have to deal with idiots. Some of the perks are nice but thats about it... no playing games on the clock :( The discount and check out privlages are about the only thing that makes it worth it IMO.

My former roommate from college worked at blockbuster. He loved it - but that mostly depended on what manager was working that night. he seemed to really enjoy it, though. I didn't complain, because he brought back a lot of movies =D

gamecrazy is a really good job and they have them here in california but you can check out the games before they come out because they get some early games that come in

I have a part-time second job at Blockbuster. It's not bad, but like that kid said above, depends on the manager. We've got two cool ones and a total whore-bitch who yells at us if we don't do our "4-steps" with every customer (greeting, offer the online, offer candy, closing) and it's annoying because I'll get customers I know I've asked about doing the online before and I'm absolutely required to ask them every single time I help them.

Aside from that, you get 5 free rentals a week (split between pre-street moves or 21+ day releases [movies or games]) and you get to work with movies and games, which is cool I guess.

i work at gamestop, its a pretty kool place to work [cuz ovbiously discounts on games and work around games], but everyone that works and comes in is really friendly

I've worked at a Gamestop for over a year and a half as a second job and it fucking sucks. Minimum wage to start, with the possible $.25 increase every year. Customers suck too. Hell, people suck. I'm tired of people coming in not knowing a goddamn thing and expecting you to know what they want for them. Also, the asswads that come straight to the counter and ask if you have any of 23 games without looking themselves really piss me off. There's so many cases of 'idiot' everyday that I really can't describe everything right here. I'll just say that it sucks. Yes, the discount is nice, but alll employees get it, so do this: Go find a friend that works there and give him your money for the purchase. It's entirely not worth working for no more than you could somewhere else when you've got someone that can get you the discount.

I work at blockbuster, and i enjoy it, the best part about it is i get discounts on licorice!!! (licorice is my fix) and they have air conditioning in there, the pay aint half bad either.

I worked at an EB for a very short time about 5 years ago and it sucked like all retail jobs suck. Shit pay, stupid customers, asshole bosses, and the employee discount was shit to boot.

I was actually thinking of working either at EB only because it's smaller that GS. They are DIRECTLY across the street from eachother where I live. That sucks to hear that.
