I just got an update for the game and got the ufo achievement after my 1st try. The game is now fixed... Have fun...

Got it too ^_^

I heard people going straight into the beam then right before entering, they shot. I came in sideways and nearly hit the UFO, and then shot as I nearly hit it and I got it [manual shooting]

How on earth do you do this? As soon as I get into the UFO beam, i hit the screen, and it doesnt fire, i get sucked up and once im dead, the shot appears!

Is there a good level to do this on? I think the Jungle level seems to have more UFOs than other levels, but not sure.

You have the right level in my opinion, but sounds like your method is a bit off.

Instead of hitting the screen "as soon as" you get into the beam, you should try "just a bit before" (I recommend manual shooting, auto is too quick). Should go like this:

-Jump towards beam
-Shoot on your way up, as close as you can without actually being sucked in

It'll all happen very fast. Good luck:)

Cheers litepink, I managed to get this last night. I really thought I had ballsed it up and that I had fired too early, which I had done loads of times previously.

Dam you people, I suck so bad at this game.

So do I. I am struggling to even get past 10 monsters. Never going to be a 200 for me.
