Ikaruga is the spiritual sequel to this, so most definately! Personally ive never played it myself, but I am definately looking forward to it!

It's somewhere in between. There is a different weapon assigned to each button, and each weapon has a different form of attack e.g A is forward fire, right trigger is circular motion around your ship.

If you loved Gradius, Ikaruga or any good side scrolling shoot 'em ups this is perfect for you.
