Yeah I can understand this but what bugs me is that the game hasn't seen daylight here yet. I'm not saying they should never release cheats, but at least let the game breath first.

i love me some cheats, dont know why but i do, i just love running around tombs shooting random things, as you can imagine that causes me to go through some ammo. so now it just needs to be confirmed if you can still get the achievements

tomb raiders always had the cheats.

it used to be fun doing the game normally and then doing it again with grenades, harpoons and uzis

yea my favorite part about tomb raider I was gunning down all the bats in the first level with the uzis and the wolves with the shotgun, instead of those pistols

Why would that be kool...so you could show that you have no skill at the game. I don't mind cheats and if you wanna cheat fine. But you shouldn't get the achievements for cheating. I don't really understand cheats making a game fun but w/e I suppose it could be for some people to fell good that they can kill everyone with no skill. Achievements are suppose to be earned not cheated.

I'm sure most game companies will decide soon that enabling cheats will disable the ability to get achievements.. This is a brand new system for game companies, they're learning as they go. My guess is that they'll keep allowing cheats, but hopefully they'll realize its not fair to allow people to get achievement scores at the same time..

Sure they are. Ever played a GTA game, got bored of the missions and entered cheats to get all weapons to bring havoc to the city? Good times. A lot of other games can be fun with cheats as well when one is bored.

I think companies are smart for putting cheats (sometimes). If people see that oh yeah i can beat that game for easy points or something then people are more compelled to buy or rent that game and add to its revenue IMO.

so has there been any confirmation on whether the cheats allow achievements. Reason why I'm asking is because I'm trying to figure out if I should buy or rent. I've heard its on the short side and if the cheats allow achieves then why bother buying. replay value not nearly as good as multiplayer games.

I totaly agree, that is the time i cheat, if i get bord ill mess around, but i wont save(even tho my GTA;sa file got screqwed over by a friend saving....) But as for achievements i kinda understand that its screwed up some people work hard others dont, the gamerscore means shit that way.

I tryed cheating in Kong and it screwed up and that was it for me for achivements(without codes it was harder then everyone was telling me but still fun)

But yeah unlike some people here on the forums i read before i replyed ;)

no, whats hes saying is that if your cheating you shouldnt be getting the points. points should be earned for gamer skill, not because your in god mode with unlimited ammo

if youve got the game skill you can get the points BEFORE you play with the cheats.

nope. no ones answered it yet. from what I've read elsewhere they don't actually work until you unlock them first.

yea i figured it was too easy for cheats, i have the guide so i know where all the rewards are and what is needed to unlock the cheats, so thats not a problem anyways

I used them on the time trials and they worked fine, but like said a couple of posts above you need to unlock them first before using.

if you can use them on Time Trials thats good, becuase my friend said some of the time trials are hard.
