Is it just me or is everyone getting a lot of updates...ive gotten like 3 in the past week for gears and 2 in the past 2 days for oblivion...is this happening to anyone else

Your console only keeps the last five updates I believe, so if you played more than five games that needed updates only the last five games will keep the updates. If you load up a different game then it will have to download one for that game.

If you haven't been playing more games then someone is being a busy beaver over at the developers, or your console is being weird.

Must just be you, unless it's happened in the last 24 hours. My wife is always on playing Gears, and hasn't gotten one since the one that was to fix Roadie run thing and a few other things.

I occasionally get them, usually with a new game, but I havn't gotten any in the past few weeks.

I've been getting them too dude, with gears of war, oblivion, and like all the arcade games I own. Unless they all got updates....

It's based on a set size and your Gears update is so f'n big that it pretty much pushes everything out of the space. So you will always have to update Gears and anything you play after Gears that has an update will need to be updated.

Remember when your 360 was new and your shiny 20GB drive was only 14GB? Sure some of that space was taken up by the videos and crap they packed in, but even when you deleted all of that there was a good 3-4GB worth of space reserved for the system.

The fix, stop playing sorry ass Gears.

I had the same, have cleared my cache since and not had to update any games >< though I've only played like 3 since then so not sure if its stopped me from updating every time I put a game in.

I have to update rainbow six everytime i put it on, yet i dont have problems like this for gears or other games! wtf! damn game :mad:
