How to unlock "Bashing Success" quickly

A shield bash is easy enough to do. Just hold down RT until you get a circle around you then let go near an enemy.

The easiest place I’ve seen to grind this out quickly is right near the beginning. After talking to the Thongolith Researcher, you’ll see a bunch of Stoopid Chickens in a small area right behind him, you can shield bash these chumps to your hearts content and they won’t fight back. If you can manage to stick 2 or 3 in a corner then this will come much faster.

You can track your progress towards this by going into the leaderboards and going to “The Bashing Best” and changing the filter to my score.

It’ll take a while but you’ll get your thousand bashes pretty easily. It took me around half an hour to get the 1000.

I truly wouldn't advocate grinding this as you are almost certain to get it in a regular playthrough as if you aren't using shield bash, you aren't surviving very long.

agreed. I have 900 bashes and i have only done 3 of the 5 thongs. Im not even trying to use bashes unless it will benefit me in combat.

I got my 1000 in SPANKTOPIA. Spent my time looking for trouble!

Remember, it's the NUMBER OF MONSTERS BASHED, not the number of times you've held the SHIELD button (RT). You can get 1000 bashes on the first screen, if you're that way inclined, from the first CYBORQUE attack.
