transfer gamer tag?

Search isn't working for me at the moment, so please don't barrage me with a bunch of "DUHHHH USE THE SEARCH" in response to my question. All I need to know is if my subscription time that I have left on my account will transfer over to my knew 360 when I recover my gamer tag. I got a second xbox so I can play when my fiancee is playing, but I really don't want to have to rebuy another subscription for the year if I don't have to.

Also, I know my save files won't transfer but my achievements will, BUT will things like kill points and what not in gears transfer over as well, or will I have to start my 100 kills with X weapon achievements all over again?

Your subscription is not tied to the box. Similar to moving from the XBox to the XBox 360...you're subscription will be intact.

As for the save files, etc...you could get a memory card to help with the transfer and the save files, I believe.

Correct. Recovering your gamertag basically is just transferring your profile from one box to another, albeit with no saves.

when one of my 360's died and i got a new one i just popped the hard drive on the new 360 and it worked.
