Pick up the first print of Resident Evil: Revival Selection, a retail compilation of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica X, for PlayStation 3 and you’ll get digital Resident Evil archive books. Fans can read 100 pages of Resident Evil material (in Japanese) using Sony’s PlayView book reader. It’s the same program Capcom also used for a Monster Hunter Freedom Unite guide.



Xbox 360 owners will also get a bonus for purchasing Resident Evil: Revival Selection early. First print copies include an avatar costume code for Leon Kennedy’s jacket. Instead of pictures of avatars in a warm coat, Capcom released a few more screenshots of Resident Evil 4 and Code: Veronica X in HD.

I heard about it on a forum so I did a quick google search and came up with this. Does anyone have any info on if this jacket is Japan only? I'ma be pissed if it is...

I can confirm, via my Avatar, that it is not Japan only. It's 320MSP to pick this item up and it's not just his jacket, you get the whole outfit. It's called Leon's Leather Jacket Outfit and can be located in the Resident Evil 5 part of the Avatar Marketplace OR currently, it's on the first page of the Dress Up (all) option.

^This image may show my usual outfit, but it should update in the site within the next 24 hours. Until the image uploads, I can offer a picture of what Leon looks like in the jacket and then the Avatar outfit itself. The outfit itself is not nearly as pronounced on the collar and more enclosed in the center. You get the shoes, pants, shirt, jacket and gloves in this deal.

Not true. Any account on the console can use it, just like any account on a console can play XBLA games purchased on it.

EDIT: Alright I stand corrected. I'm pretty sure at one point you could use items between accounts though, must have taken that away.

A little fun bit - there's an outfit available on the marketplace that looks exactly like Leon's Gangster outfit, in fact there are two versions. I own one of them, which has a red scarf but his is the white scarf. If they ever release the Chicago Typewriter as an avatar item that would be awesome!

I'm hoping maybe in the future they may do his RPD Uniform =D possibly will do it in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

Mine is called Black Suit with Scarf and Hat and is currently on the 32nd page of Dress Up (if you select the All option from Avatar Marketplace).

It's called the Gangster Costume, found on page 49 of 73 on the Dress Up thing. It's 240 MSP:

The only real difference here is that Leon has a red tie and his scarf is more pronounced, kind of like my Avatar's suit:

Thanks for the heads up. I was bummed to hear at first that it was JP only, but this is fucking sweet, glad Capcom finally added some more decent Resident Evil avatar items. If only they would add a Silver Ghost prop gun to go with it.
