The game is pretty much a longer version of the demo but with bosses and annoying snakey things. If you have any doubts then read the review, if it has been made yet, or just rent it first.

If you are gamerscore conscious, this is an easy 500 points. Take a little extra time and use the guides here and 800+ is easy.

It's a pretty sweet game. It's one of my all-time favorites. I recommend that everyone should at least try it.

Id say yes, buy it. If you a fan of fable (at least that is what this game reminds me of) then you will most likely love this game. Im getting ready for my second play through as soon as i get that last ach for shadowrun.

Like you i loved the demo, and thought id give it a buy. Turned out i made a good decision. The game is a blast, and has realy keeps the player hooked. The humor in the game is hysterical and the fight scenes are preety nice too. The game kinda gets repetitive if you play it over multiple times, and the multiplayer is abit hard to grasp, but all in all, the game is deffinetly worth buying.

I would have to say that this game is a rental. I do agree that the game is simalar to fable, but it is nowhere as deep. The game does not take that long to complete and the multiplayer kind of sucks in my opinion. It does have 2 ways to complete the game, good or evil, so it does have replayability (is this even a word?). This game is just below par to be considered a buy. I was so close to buy the game, but decided to rent it at the last minute. I was happy I did, I dont know that I would have ever played the game again after I beat it. Very fun game though, worth a play through.

Heres my two cents.

Have you ever played a game called 'A bards tale'? It was a game were you could choose "Coin and cleavage" or "Honor and glory" Basically good or evil. Now it was a very, very bad game. It lacked story, graphics but had a few funny moments in it.

What overlord did was a upgraded version of Bards tale. Were Bards tale went wrong, overlord did GREAT! Overlord is funny, with the combination of gnarl. with his quotes "Objects, I like objects." and "You're health has increased sir, wish mine had." And his minions " Ooooo sheepies."

Bards tale idea of having minions was good, but ultimately failed, your minions weir poorly thought of and you weir weak and helpless, having to sit back and watch your servants do the work. Spells in Bards tale was very lame as Overlords weir very basic I agree but they were well thought of i.e shield, attack increase, fireball, domination aka confusion spells

Overlords story was pretty shaky at the start but as you progress through the game, things are made clear and a major twist awaits you at the end. Achievements are fun the game has serious lag issues online and can have some really nasty glitches that can ruin the game and you will have to start all over again

My Rating: 8.5 "Oooo new sheepies!"

I would take darkness over this. Come to think of it, off their ain't many games I would take over the darkness. Finishing it again isn't to hard, it takes about 9hours if you know what you are doing. You will have to finish it again to get the tower achievement. Unless you save it when you get to the royal halls on you're good profile and pick Goldo's stash.

How good is the replay value? I have it from Gamefly, and might want to finish with 100% evil and good. Havent tried the game out yet, but looks pretty sick.

I love this game. I also got it from gamefly's Keep it price, so it only cost me about $35 (free shipping). for $60, I still might have bought it. It's just all-over fun. Especially Kicking the Jester when he spews your titles.

Great game with interesting plot twists at the end that I didn't see coming. I would consider it a rental because I just don't see much replay value. You can finish the single player game, including farming souls for the achievement, in around 20 hours of gameplay, give or take on if you got lost like I tended to due to the lack of a map.

I could barely even put this at a rent. I thought it was too confusing, simple, but yet it was fun for the very short amount of time I rented it. If you can get into it, get it, but I couldnt enjoy it.

I needed some clarification: if someone quits out of a multiplayer ranked match, does it count as a win towards the win achievements for the player who stayed? Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.

id say rent it for sure, you can beat the game in a couple days and there wasnt any replay value, for me at least

Dude. If no one's posted on this thread for almost two months, its probably dead, so there's no need to throw another post up when it seems like the question's been answered. Just make sure that you're contributing to a thread before posting, otherwise the moderators will get onto you and that's no fun. Trust me, I got on their bad side right at the beginning and its not cool.
