When you create a new GT, pic the US as your area...you may also have to set you 360 to be in the US, by choosing it as your area by going thru the initial setup again...simple really...if you search through here you will find loads of the same questions...with a lot of helpful answers...

Actually, it does work, as stated in the major thread regarding this issue. I live in Canada and have an American account, simple as that. You shouldn't have to change any system settings, just create a new gamertag with the location set to US. Just so you know, the video marketplace can't be accessed on any servers other than the United States. In case you didn't watch E3 or hear the news, marketplace is going to be going global by the end of this year. :Bounce:

The way I did it,so I could get Aegis Wing, was by creating a hotmail account with an American address, then when I entered that into my new LIVE account it instantly put me as being in the US!

^^^Correct! It still works. One of my friends is under the Japan region and he can download all these odd items off XBL.

I checked over Microsofts press stuff, and I believe only the Video Marketplace is going global.
And Jarhead, its cause us Canadians get shafted.
I got a question for you yanks. Is Canada North or South of America?
(I went into Southern Buffalo and 75% of them said South...)

That's just stupid...Even if you don't live in a country, you should still know it's geographical location, especially if it's bordering yours. Anyways, I'm guessing that if the video marketplace went global, then the gamerpics, themes, etc. would follow.

LOL. And look how close Buffalo is to Canada...
We would hope that, but who knows? (About Marketplace statement)
