You get stuff available in Japan. The Eternal Sonata demo for example. I doubt you'll see Western demos etc there before the US marketplace.

The time it took you to write your apology could've been used to correct the title...

Im gonna have to ask you to take a little more time when you post, particularly when you start new threads as some of your posts are extremely difficult to read.

I'll correct the title btw.

Didn't microsoft announce sometime ago that changing your locale to different than you really are will (probably) earn you a ban?

I dont think they threatened bans. I do recall however that they did say they were gonna block region specific content from people who are outside those regions.

My U.S account still works fine though :D

Man, I hope not. I think that'd be a little harsh.

Me and my friend changed our locales to Slovakia and South Africa respectively for a bit awhile ago, just for fun when we were playing Gears. Got a few laughs out of it, harmless fun. ;)

I remember a video game site saying if you wanted to play the Rain demo to just make and foreign account to do so, and they didn't mention anything of getting banned. Think that would be way to strict to do a flat out ban on your gamertag and account. I've also been surprised on more than one occasion by xbox though.

Nah I'd definately say the whole banning thing is a 'mountain-of-a-molehill' scenario,I know they said they wanted to block region specific stuff but not ban people,I mean look at how many of us UK heads have Aegis Wing

This 'region specific' shit is stupid. With the internet open to most people in most parts of the world, people are used to being able to get whatever they want off of the net. Why spend time and trouble making sure people can't access certain downloads based on location? You would think it would be far easier to let everyone have it all at once then being so fucking selective...

I completely agree with you. I could see some downloads such as Canadian flag gamerpics and Japanese demos being region-specific though. At least by the end of the year, marketplace is going global. :D As for all of these stupid threads regarding the marketplace's region-specific downloads, use the search feature, it's not that hard.
