Introduction:
Sudoku is a Microsoft Game Studios game and developed by Babaroga. At no cost to you, this game offers all the familiar features Sudoku fanatics love and newcomers will enjoy. New on the scene are power-ups that will make the puzzle you are stuck on easier to complete as well as experience boosters that will help you level up quicker. You will be able to beat this game in under 2 hours, making for a nice and easy 50/50. Use this link under the extra equipment to help make this game really easy.

Step 1: The First Seven
First, start up the training puzzle under classic mode and beat it in under a minute and without using pencil marks to win Minuteman and Pfffff, pencils. Next, start up a gentle puzzle under lightning mode and quit out as soon as the game starts to get Never too proud. Now, complete a puzzle on easy, moderate, advanced, and expert difficulty in classic mode (when you beat expert difficulty you will unlock Winner). Sometime during all of this you will reach the rank of "player." Once you do, beat a puzzle without using power-ups to obtain I don't need those.... Next, you will want to beat a gentle puzzle in lightning. Using the link in the introduction, you will unlock Overload before you beat it. Afterwards, beat easy, moderate, and intense difficulty in lightning mode to unlock Gotta play 'em all.

Step 2: Grind to Ultimate
The last achievement is Ultimate. Not a long grind, and the fastest way to get this is to play on intense difficulty in lightning mode. Use the link from the extra equipment and solve the puzzle as fast as possible with the "XP Bonus," "Gamble," and "Lucky" power-ups equipped. The "XP Bonus" will earn you extra XP for every puzzle you finish, "Gamble" will earn you extra XP if you beat the puzzle without making a mistake, and "Lucky" will randomly fill in one of each number; this makes a puzzle every now and then go faster. You will need 24,974 XP for the ultimate rank and the final achievement.

Conclusion:
Sudoku for the WP7 is not the best game that could have been released, but it's not the worst either...considering it's free. You should have had no trouble obtaining all 8 achievements if you have made it to this conclusion, especially after following Step 1. It is a shame that this game did not have 200 gamerscore, but enjoy your 50/50 nonetheless.

Finish a puzzle in each difficulty in both Classic and Lightning modes.

You will need to complete a puzzle on training, easy, moderate, advanced, and expert difficulties in classic mode and gentle, easy, moderate, and intense difficulties in lightning mode.

Max out the combo multiplier in Lightning mode.

As soon as you enter a valid number into a cell in lightning mode, your multiplier in the top left corner will go up to x2. You will need to enter another correct number into a cell before the bar depletes, otherwise you will go back down to x1. Simply get the multiplier up to x5 for the achievement to unlock. Finish a puzzle without using any powerups as rank: Player or higher.

As soon as you reach the rank of "player," beat any puzzle without using any power-ups. You can play the training puzzle in classic mode if you wish.

Another way to do it is if you don't want to keep looking up and down, use the "Pencil All" ability at the start of the round, then fill in all the ones with 1 or 2 numbers in the boxes. If you hit a wrong number, your multiplier will disappear & your phone will vibrate.

Of course, doing it this way, you will want to replace Gamble with Pencil All. :P I've found this to be about half as quick, because you don't have to keep looking up and down at the PC screen.

I suggest adding that while using the Gamble power up, if you enter the wrong number, the phone vibrates and the GAME QUITS OUT TO THE XBOX DASHBOARD. So you have to get set-up all over again.

Sure, it increases your XP, but it was very irritating to say the least.

My phone (HTC Surround) never quit out to the dashboard when I had that power-up enabled. I only hit a wrong number once with it activated.

I have the same phone, and at first I wasn't sure what was causing it, but then I tested it out to be sure. The Gamble power causes my game to quit.

Just tested it on my phone, and it doesn't do that. Just ends the game. No vibration. You get partial XP and just need to press play again.

Same here, this is one of the most rubbish examples of programming I've ever seen in my life. Back to the dashboard, REALLY?!

Since the number input is so dodgy in this game, it's really easy to enter the wrong number too so I'm grinding to Ultimate with Gamble off.

For what it's worth, I have a Windows Trophy.

Yea that gamble powerup would kick me completely out of the game. I just did it with "pencil all" and hit a number until the game told me it was correct then started off from the right numbers. Not a long grind at all compared to minesweeper

I think it's worth noting in your guide that you CAN use powerups for Gotta Play Em All.

Plus, if folks don't want to use the puzzle solver link you gave, then I found the fastest way to Ultimate was doing Gentle or Easy on Lightning mode with XP Bonus and Gamble powerups. Almost everything is filled in for you on Gentle, and even on Easy mode, they still don't let you put in a wrong number, so it's hard to fail, and still pretty fast per game.
