"We have a monumental library of titles hitting stores by the end of this year for Xbox 360 that will strike an emotional chord with every type of customer."
High-Definition Content on Marketplace
In a move that will add to the incredible popularity of Xbox LIVE Marketplace, Microsoft announced an agreement with Disney-ABC Domestic Television to make high-definition and standard definition feature films from Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures, Miramax Films, and Hollywood Pictures available for rent on demand to members of Xbox LIVE in the U.S. A growing catalogue of current and library titles will be available this July with more blockbusters to come.
Microsoft also announced the highly anticipated rollout of the high-definition video store on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for customers around the globe. Microsoft will begin bringing content to living rooms in Europe and Canada by the end of this year. Currently offering more than 2,350 hours of premium entertainment content from 28 networks and studios, and nearly 500 hours of HD content alone, this puts the U.S. on-demand, high-definition library for Xbox 360 at more than twice the size of the nearest cable provider.

Looks to me like the Xbox is going to have a great year. And just look at the number of exclusive titles coming out before this Christmas alone. This is going to be a hard year, just because I wont know which games to buy.

Also, many things were taken out, because of length, so go ahead, try the link.

Usually I'm only really excited about 2 or 3 games over the course of a whole year.

This year, there's enough gaming goodness to last all through 2008. Rock Band, Guitar Hero 3, Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, COD4, Halo 3, GTA IV, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Two Worlds, Army of Two...the list just doesn't end.

Every one of those games is just a blockbuster title that can't be missed.

One very nice list of games with a little bit of everythimng. There are 3 must buys there for myself - Assassins Creed, COD4 and Sonic. Already Pre-Ordered COD and AC. Might end up buying a few other games, though will most likely rent them first.

I can't wait. So many great games comming out. I'm guessing I will only get Halo 3, NHL 2K8 or NHL 08 and maybe CoD 4. Sadly I don't have a job since I'm still in high school or else I would be getting more than 3 games this comming holiday.

Awesome line up but a few games might be a stretch to be completed in time. Who knows how much of COD4 they actually have done or how long that mutliplayer beta is going to be (I haven't read any dates yet) and Assassin's Creed looked good in the demo at E3 but you could still see it was glitchy. Hopefully everything will be squared away in time and we won't have any bumped dates. One thing for sure is I'll have sparce funds this holiday season.

So, aside from the obvious, aren't Splinter Cell: Conviction and Assassin's Creed the exact same game?

It's not rocket science.
