Hard Achievement...

i need to complete the adventure on hard dificulity but can i get the achievement when im choosing the levels without starting a new game?

after you beat a mission on hard and save, it remembers it. so you can go back through each one individually and beat them on hard if you want. it worked when i was going back through for time trials at least.

Yes, you can use the level select option. Though some say that you must beat them in order. You can also use cheats and still get the achievements.
