Hawke's Key stats?

Hey, short question..
Does it matter WHEN I do the DLC?
I mean.. does the power of the items change with what level I get them,
or do they have totally fixed stats?
I wish the key weapon would just level with you, like Fadeshear does..

Anyway..
does anyone have any clues?
Well, maybe you could at least post your weapon's stats..
In my case, it's the greatsword with following beginning stats:

34 Damage: Physical (56 Damage per second)
+3 Strength

Okay, just tried another later save file from act 3..

it was like
43 Damage: Physical (71 Damage per second)
+4 Strength

so it DOES matter when you do it..
.. does it matter for the set and stuff as well?

Using a LVL 14 Rogue (Act 2):

Bow:
96 Physical damage (90 DPS)
+3 Dex


Did you confirm it doesn't level up with you?

I used my lvl 50 rogue and it gave me a dagger with dmg around 90-92 (can't exactly remember). Needless to say, I swapped it in as my main hand weapon LOL.

No, I didn't level up after getting it, would have taken some time..
But wouldn't it then have the words "Improves with level-up" like Fadeshear?

Kinda complicated when to get it, if it really depends on the level,
not the act.. and a little frustrating.. ^^;

Is there a level cap when it comes to these things, eg if u do it during act 1 on a week level the key will have weaker stats, if u do it at level 50 the stats would be higher when u find it, so can anyone confirm if there is a level cap for weapons and armor i heard people saying that all weapons and equipment stop ranking up if ur level 25 or so, this was just from looking in google but i cant confirm if this is true or not, on my second play through im on level 19 currently and if i can id like to go get the key at level 25 but only if it will have max stats at that level, otherwise ill wait, can someone confirm this, and i hope i made sense, i have dyslexia so sorry if this isnt explained to well.
