can i use my vision cam on the computer like a digital camera or webcam to take pics of me to send to family

i hooked it up and what not but i cant get it to work it installed and everything but no program or anything

Pictures and video I think, but "like digital camera" heh. More like average camera-phone.

yes but i cant make it run on my computer
i plug it in then it acknowledges its its presence on the computer then nothing happens
can anyone help me figure out the problem?

Atleast quick googling does not fare any specific, but Im guessing you need software to do it.

It should just appear in My Computer, you double click it and it should let you take pictures

Right Morbid, If You have XP This Is How You Do It

Plug It Into the Pc,

Go To My Computer, Then There Should Be A Icon Saying USB Video Device, click on that it will install the drivers (must be connected to net thou), and then on the left side there is a take picture icon :)
