Anyone think E3 is a bit underwhelming so far?

Microsoft does have some awesome games comming out this fall, but I hope they have one or 2 more tricks up their sleeve still. Nintendos health equipment seems kinda cool, but they didnt seem to offer too much so far. Sony is a yawn fest so far, and the new psp seems pointless. Though their Home service looks pretty cool. Thoughts?

I agree, but I think it's a result of two issues..

1. New E3. We have no idea what to expect, and we are all judging it based on previous years when each company was trying to outdo each other and steal the show with big surprise announcement.

2. Internet. We all have so much info the moment anyone even comes up with a concept of a game that we already know all of this info.

I only watched Microsoft because I knew I wouldn't be interested in either Nintendo or Sony and I guess I was right. :p Some of the gameplay they showed for upcoming games on the 360 literally gave me goosebumps. :p

The Wii stuff was decent. The Wii Balance Board is going to sell tons to the casuals.

I've yawned through all of them though. Except when Miyamoto made Reggie get on the board and it was revealed just how overweight his yes...like 2.75 BMI from being obese. Hahahaha.

i just watched the microsoft obviously, but i was completely amazed...there are literally 6-8 must buy games coming out very very soon that will all be award winners

COD4: Modern Warfare comes to mind, that looked amazing and I can't wait for the public beta to be released.

I cant wait for Resident Evil 5. New zombie achievements, from capcom. Hope they are as good as Dead risings were. Metal Gear 4 was just shown but I didnt hear exclusive. "Simultaneous world wide release" but this is probably just for US and Japanese versions. Konami does have a suprise announcement this afternoon though.

The biggest disapointment to me was no word on Banjo Threeie, and the fact that the gameplay video of Assassins Creed sucked, bumping feature was horribly done and if you look at the people carrying the bottles on top of the heads they all looked the same.

You guys forgot Devil May Cry 4(So much for it being a PS3 exclusive), Lost Odyssey, Two Worlds (Don't look too bad), Stuntman:Ignition (Interesting game), S.K.A.T.E, Crash Bandicoot( THE REVIVAL!! ), Eternal Sonata, that Blue Dragon game ( Final Fantasy creators and composers collaboration with Dragon Ball Z Artists), Timeshift, Half-Life sequel and others.

These might not all be covered by E3, but it just proves that the 360 is going to kick some serious ass in the coming months. Makes me REALLY appreciate Gamefly. :drunk

That's also the reason why the game isn't done. It isn't going to be released until some time at the end of this year (dumb delays huh?). I refuse to judge a game at all until it's actual release. Trailers are just a way for me to learn about how the game is going to be like.

Well, trust me, after I saw the Assassin's Creed gameplay I was shocked that they would have even put that drek on display. After he climbed up the building and snuck up behind some guard and killed him, the body was floating in the air!!! Come on... this is E3. If you're gonna show it, then expect it to be scrutinized. Even the narrator(who was horrible) stuttered a sec when that happened as if caught by surprise.

I agree that the trailer was more "Creed" (read suxx) than Assassin (read good). I think they are a victim of their own trailers. They just look too damn good. This was the big problem though with e3: devs having to show incomplete builds and having to devot to much precious dev time to e3 trailers and demos. Hope this is the case.
(Hellboy might turn out okay too.)

Glad to hear that someone else thinks G4 is rubbish. Ive been ranting and raving about this on joystiq and fanboy the past 2 days. I have never seen such unprofessional coverage of an event. I think most highschool av clubs could do a better job than these brain dead humps. Sessler's voice, attitude, and grotesque appearance upset me to the core. Morgan Webb's pissy attitude, poor question, poor attention span, and strange movements are not much better. I dont mind Kevin or Munn at least they can improvise in a pinch, and are affable. The constant tech problems, repetitive comments, and pointless polls do not help it's case either.

I have only watched the microsoft part like 4 times to figure out every little detail. (i Tivoed it). E3 finally whoed everyone how sick Mass Effect is going to be, that in my mind is the game that i want the most out of everything going on the market. I read the book and then i re-read it because i finished it so fast that i only got half the details. My only problem with some of the games is that they do not ever get a release date for sure.

Halo 3 is the only game that has been moved up. Everything else that is to be released has been delayed. Mass Effect again, Bioshock/Army of Two/ Assassins Creed and Too Human's original dates were April 4th:eek:. While those all have november release dates except for Bioshock.

I Loved what i saw, i only watched part of the Nintendo part and the Ps3 one was very dissapointing. I was a big fan of Killzone so i think that Killzone 2 will be very good (unlike most people)
