You select all (or the ones you want to stay) and press the y button. It will set a marker and they will stay, you also have the ability to move the marker by locking onto it and something else i think. You can also call them one at a time from the marker by locking onto it and pushing the b until you get the desired number. Hope that helps :)

Well said man. Now that you know how to use it, Id like to let you in on a little knowlege that i wa not aware of. Its best to use grren minions as traps by telling them to stay sumwhere, then they become ninjas and rape everyone nad their sisters lol. Hope you have an easier time controling them then i did :D

I have a problem with the blue ones: I keep them close to me while in battle, and when one of my warriors dies I press RT gently to send one of them on a rescue mission. Problem is, the blue moron ALWAYS goes straight into battle, doesn't even bother to look at his fallen comrade, tries to fight alongside the browns/greens and eventually gets killed.
I tried to place a marker near the battlefield, hoping they would automatically go and revive the minions that get killed nearby, but it doesn't work -maybe I should place the marker closer to the battlefield, I don't know. Any clues?

A couple notes:

You cannot use the guard marker right away in the game. I think you don't get the ability to set up a marker until you get the Reds (could be wrong at the exact time).

You can move the guard marker by targeting it (LT) and then using the right stick.

You can create as many guard markers as you'd like. Since the max amount of minions you can control at once is 50, you could technically have 50 guard markers.

@Devolon: Blues work the best when on a guard marker. When they're on a guard marker they will resurrect anyone within their line of vision and within a certain range. That range is fairly extensive, but you may have to get slightly used to it. I personally always set my blues on guard marker, and then move that marker around.
