They don't have an HDMI cable for the original white 360 because there is no HDMI jack. There was a thread posted HERE (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=30062&highlight=hdmi+white) talking about a possible product coming out that would allow a white 360 to connect through HDMI. There is no solution at this time.

I'm not sure how legit that's gonna be... The HDMI cable that comes with the Elite is garbage anyway. It made my LCD ghost and a popping noise emitted from my speakers at full volume every 30 seconds or so. I highly recommend biting the bullet and getting some Monster cables (the ones I have were $60 (HDMI) and $25 (Optical)

HDMI is a digital signal... you shouldn't be getting analog popping noises like you would with older formats. If there's a large electrical buildup of garbage information, HDMI should discard it. That's one of the benefits to a digital signal over analog. In theory a metal fork should send the same signal as a $200 gold plated cable.

Actually, as the owner of a elite system I can tell you that if you already own a 360 it is not worth upgrading. Do yourself a favor and just wait until the new ones with the smaller cooler chips and the quieter drives come out. Be patient and wait. I bought it because I thought for sure it was going to have those items, it didn't and I have a black box that does the exact same thing as my others. With the exact same problems as my older ones.
As for HDMI cables, there are probably cheaper places to find them, but I like to buy mine from Projector People (http://www.projectorpeople.com/accessories/cables.asp). You can get very long cables (not just 6, 8, 10' ones). This comes in handy if you have a projector and need to go those great distances.

Not only is an update due with 65nm chips its rumored they might actually make the power pack internal so its not an ugly fixture. Kaens have you heard anything about a HD DVD drive replacing the regular dvd drive in the Xbox?

I only know the same stuff you guys know, whatever is posted here. I guess we'll all find out more tonight when MS has their conference. I know I am looking forward to seeing what they are going to announce. So many rumors I'd rather just wait one more day and KNOW.. you know?

I'd really like to agree with you, but having switched out the cable I can tell you this is not the case. I have no idea why, but the ghosting and popping went away.
