Yesterday while sitting in my seat waiting for Die Hard or Live Free to start at my local movie theatre, I was really surprised to see a preview come on. Hitman's music came on and I was curious as to what this was. I had remembered hearing something about an announcement from the makers of Hitman at this movie. I was really glad and surprised to see that there is going to be a Hitman movie. It looks really good and hopefully it won't be as bad as any of Uwe Boll's abominations. More info can be found here: http://imdb.com/title/tt0465494/ Anyways, have any of you ever seen any movies/T.V. Shows based on games. I know that my cousin has the animated Mario series on VHS and they are Horrible.

Most cross media explorations won't do that well, be it game to film or film to game. I think the major problem people have if it is live action is that the casting will always be wrong. Gamers are so used to the look of a character that it is difficult to accept anyone who doesn't look the same as the digital counterpart.

Usually the stories can be pretty good, although some continuity will be screwed up to make it 'more exciting' for the viewers. Silent Hill had a decent storyline, I hadn't really played any of the games but from what I knew anyway they stuck to the game a little even if Sean Bean couldn't decide if he was English or American.

I, for some reason, watched the Sonic the Hedgehog movie the other day and it was awful.

Silent Hill was not bad. The Resident Evil movies aren't awful, but probably because Milla Jovovich is perfect.

Silent Hill is proof that a video game movie can be entertaining and still stay true to the source material more or less. I really think some people in hollywood are starting to get the idea... just wait until you have the next Spielberg... only he grew up blowing into cartridges.

It looks like it could be good, but Timothy Olyphant just doesn't seem like an Agent 47 to me, but I have been wrong before...
