I have never heard that about playing games on it and such... or it working hand in hand with XBL.....
I too have a Zune already and the only thing I have seen that is different from the Ipod is the FM tuner, the bigger screen, and the ability to share songs to other Zunes. Plus it comes with the software to share all your music to the 360 via XP or Media Center. But anyone can download the Zune player software.
I'd be very intrigued to hear anything about the Zune dealing with XBL.

after some research, check out this link:
http://www.windows-now.com/blogs/robert/archive/2006/11/03/zune-xbox-live-integration.aspx
it shows obvious evidence that they will be integrating something, but nothing is yet available.... makes me wonder..
i have been searching around and i havent found much other info regarding the zune on xbl
are you subscribed for that 15$ a month for unlimited downloads, or is anybody? is it a good database worth the 15$ a month?

I usually end up buying CD's and ripping them on my computer and putting those mp3's on my zune ;);).....
Course there are other ways that are free... but not to be mentioned on this site.
but I will check on that info and get back with you

Although you can watch Zune content on your 360, Microsoft is officially not providing any Zune compatibility with the new Xbox Live Video service at this time
Whatever this means.. this is the official word from M$

i think the key words are "at this time"
it may just be me, but i think they've got something up their sleeve. besides, they have to put that extra edge over ipods other than an fm tuner. lol

I think 90% of press releases disproving something have "at this time" at the end of it. I would think you're reading into it too much.

then why would there ( under the media blade in the xbox dashboard ) have a portable device option? and under console theres further options for viral videos?
i think microsoft is headed in the right direction, between the stuff i hear about vista, xbox, and now zune? i mean people playing against each other from vista to live is freakin sweet and i dont know why thats never been implemented before.
believe me, im no microsoft fan boy, but i can appreciate a company making good moves at the right times.
im a gamer, not a fanboy. i dont discriminate against any console, game, or company, unless they have earned to be bashed.
i used to be a financial advisor, but now i somehow got myself into the gaming industry, so i have the experience to back up my thoughts, and in which case i just may pickup a few hundred shares of microsoft. :)
think of it. your computer, your portable mp3 player, and your gaming console all compatible with one another.
i've also heard unconfirmed rumors that apple is looking to jump on the video game console band wagon. it would be interesting to see what types of titles they can get exclusively and how well they execute everything.
but thats of course rumors and who knows. if they jump in, hopefully they dont fall flat on their ass like many other gaming companies in the past have, but thats all an entirely different discussion.
