Just the other night, my Premium 360 had the 3 Rings of Death(3 Flashing Red Lights). My bro was wondering why hitting the Guide Button on the controller didn't turn on the 360. So he manually turned on the console. Guess what? The inevitable happened...3 Red Rings of Death.

I told myself...NOT AGAIN! I turned it off and on for about 3 times and the same damn lights kept flashing in front of me. I turned it off. I unplugged the Power Cord on the back of the 360. Plug it back in and VOILA! The damn thing worked fine!:woop:

Seriously, seeing those Red Rings scared me for a minute. I hope this isn't a sign of it dying, though it wouldn't surprise me the least bit if it did. *Knocks on Wood* This was my 3rd 360 in less than a year. Maybe I just got lucky on this one.

I hope you guys out there will try my "Home Remedy" troubleshooting before calling M$. Good Luck!

My 360 red-ringed at least 20 times on me. It worked fine until the disc drive went dead. Well, it was a little slow on loading anything. I wouldn't be surprised if yours keeps working for a long time, but neither would it surprise me if it died tomorrow.

I can relate to you. My disc drive went dead on my first 360 without any warnings. A Brand NEW 360, just 1 1/2 weeks old...failed on me because of a defective disc drive. I didn't receive any Red Rings, so I'm assuming it died peacefully and painlessly.:p

If my Premium 360 Red-Rings again, I'll try my trick. But you're right...it wouldn't surprise me either if it broke down tomorrow.

i think he means it said disc unreadable which is what happened to my first console. luckily i got a new one right away, but it's stupid how these systems break suddenly and so often.
