But anyways. Whats the deal ? where snow hope ect. I understand vanille and fang not being there but surley as a sequal you cant just leave them out?

i'm sure they'll eventually show up sooner or later. Considering you start out looking for Lightning. Maybe they won't be playable in the 2nd part? Would be nice considering how garbage the male characters were in XIII.

Forget how garbage they are, their - both male and female - voices are terrible as well. I really hope the SE will have downloadable for Japanese audio with English subtitle.

It was stated that we can expect all of the old team to feature in the game to some degree or another but weve not seen any official confirmation as to all of them being playable.

Serah will be the main character and she alongside Noel are the only confirmed permanent party members confirmed so far meaning maybe Se want to build around a new cast of playables for the game maybe though weve seen Lightning is at least playable for a section of the game and Snow is 100% confirmed to be in the game as well but nothing mentioned more on the matter as to playability etc only that he is unconcerned with the Serah/Noel friendship which is hardly surprising seeing as they are now man and wife by a couple of years.

I hope Snow is not playable. I used him by far the least in XIII. He is garbage and his summon was useless.

I could not disagree any more - The Shiva Sisters were a two in one package with one focusing on attacking the enemies with Snow and the other acting as his guardian angel healing on demand.

The worse Summon for me was Hecatoncheir who is an offensive machine which is great but not ideal if you need to keep Vanilla alive for whatever reason as he doesnt heal. When it comes to building Gestalt meter she needs to be acting as a RAV or SAB but with the fact she has to rely on herself to maintain health means i find that summon the least effective.

As for Snow himself he is the best Sentinel in the game with best HP levels in the game and the Umbra set of weapons which really enchance his ability to Tank like no other which is great given how Sentinels are kind of a must have commodity in some of the late game battles. He also is a solid commander meaning hes a great alternative to Fang leaving all of the more support minded roles to those who do it much better.

Each character is great in their own way/ role but all i ever used was. Fang as leader and light and vanille second.

I hope you dont have to play with Snow. I hated him with a passion. After I beat the game I used Sazh Fang and Vanille until I got bored of the game which did take a while.
