MacThemes

I checked out MacThemes.Net but I didn't like the themes they had there. Anybody know of any other places where I can get some cool ones?

download the app Candy Bar. i dont know what you mean for themes, but that program lets you customize the entire look of your computer—the folders icon, shortcut icons, etc, etc...

just search for it and you should be able to get a basic version for free. :)

99% of skins require Shapeshifter that Red mentioned, which at the end of the day is a dirty, dirty hack. There are quite a few (such as Uno) that merely require installing, but sadly the only way to find most of these in trawling through MacThemes' forums (not the main site).

To be honest, i've tried hundreds of themes over the years and they all wear off after a week or two. Uno, TenFive, or Aqua Inspirat Graphite are the only themes that last (and don't detract from your work).

If you're using Candybar, get Pixadex to compliment it (basically an icon cataloguing app).

While we're on the subject of sprucing up, no self-respecting Mac user can go a day without Quicksilver (http://quicksilver.blacktree.com).

It seems like they either don't work, don't download correctly, or aren't free. :(

Unfortunately, most of these the apps do cost money,
but after you buy them you can find loads of
themes and icons for free all over the web.

If you're content with your mac, then don't even bother with
shapeshifter 'cause like highpass mentioned it can be messy.

Yeah I really don't care that much. I was just bored one day. But I still think it would be cool.
